The reason posters refer to the quiz's clues rather than giving answers is because you'll fuck it up for anyone still wanting to take the quiz

How did HE get 78 caps? That was the only one I didn't get and to be honest if I did the quiz again I still wouldn't get it.

Top try scorer by decade. Most of you will get the more recent ones easily enough so have stretched it back to the 50s.

60s and 70s both took three guesses. Others I got first pop (which was lucky for the 50s, because I don't know who else I would have guessed). 
 
Second top in each decade might stump me! :)

70's I found easy given he held the all time record for a long time. 60's I should have got but I guessed the recognised #1 winger from the 60's and then got into a blind alley

Yeah - pretty much the whole decade was a search for a fullback. It should have been a search for a goalkicker as well, but we didn't really twig that you needed one until Gerald Bosch kicked the pants off us in 1976.
