We'll talk about it tomorrow

Not often I see a fighter get body-slammed onto the back of his neck and take a jackhammer of fists to the melon, and still comeback to choke out his opponent and win. If that was boxing the ref would have stopped the fight after the third punch to the head, and he took a lot more than that.
-
Yeah plenty of refs would have stopped it.
I thought Askren was intelligently defending himself reasonably quickly. First going for the wrists, then attempting to change position
The actual stoppage was a disaster. There's images of Lawler giving a thumbs up after Herb grabbed his arm.
Usman was incredible
Smith was not
Cody is dumb
Walker's knee was spectacular

Great card.
Let's have Santos v Jones next please.

Gracie Breakdown:
-
JDS is an elite heavyweight and they need to stop treating him like a gatekeeper.
I used to be a massive fan of his especially around the time he made his Championship run. He, for whatever reason, was the guy that made me more of an MMA fan. He has the BJJ to fall back on but uses his boxing instead. I liked his back story, toy shop owner, and he was different in that he didn't have a trophy wife(far, far, so far from that...). Then he got Nike sponsorship and went a bit Hollywood. HAs the PED issue(although resolved) and dumped his poor mrs for a newer model.
Still he's a good guy and the UFC need to treat him like the HOF fighter he probably is. Title fight please.

Agreed. Great win. Multi-skilled.
And Neko Price. Yes man.

@Duluth Bising was their guy. He was the big money guy. Totally never supposed to be a champion but he got the strap and in the most likely of ways. Has always been outspoken but as it turns out if a pretty likeable guy.
Rags to riches (read TUF to UFC Champeen).
Perfect story, perfect TV.

Till needs to wise up and stop being a Chav.
Get to the gym, get smarter, get title.
What's wrong with Jorge. He was the massive underdog who delivered on his promise.
Cracking finish.
Not convinced with Edwards.

It was not a comment on the fight. It was a comment on Jorge being a twat.
I've heard Bisping tell a few stories about him on his podcast, so I held this opinion prior to the weekend. But consider what happened backstage after the fight
Edwards says something to Jorge about fighting in June. Jorge leaves and interview and follows him across the room. Then as they come together Jorge throws a punch.
Standard dickish stuff from both of them and then Jorge escalates it with a punchNot a huge deal
Then Jorge has an interview where he claims to be the victim. He claims Edwards was the aggressor. He claims to be shaking from fear and then says that he threw the first punch because he was fearing for his life
If you're a loose cannon who throws punches backstage after a fight - own it. There's plenty of nutters in the ufc who do stupid shit.
But to be a loose cannon who throws punches backstage and then lies about basic facts and plays the victim.. that is a twat.

Yeah there's still questions about him. But the way he controlled Gunnar was impressive
One good win against a top 5 guy and they can put him in a title fight with a straight face.
That might happen next time they go back to London. Some of the other Brits need to have a run of good results before they can headline an event again (Till 2 losses, Manuwa 3 losses in a row)
Meanwhile Edwards is on a 7 fight win streak with his last loss coming against the current champ. He'd need to get past a guy like Thompson or RDA first though
