Dillishaw stopped too soon. He came back from worse twice against Garbrandt

Plenty of life in UFC old dogs.
Some great bouts this past weekend.

A few kiwis fighting this Sunday. Shane Young and Kai Kara-France are on the prelims.
Adesanya vs Anderson Silva is the co-main event
Then Aussie/Maori Whittaker defends the belt against Gastelum
Hopefully all the locals win and that sets up a Whittaker v Adesanya fight. That would have to happen in this region.. then there's a minuscule outside chance of a title fight being held in Auckland

I think Whittaker loses the belt personally. There I said it.
Gastelum has a good chance with the speed of his power punch
I think Whittaker will hold the title though. I think he'll fight cautious until the championship rounds. I'm one of those people that questions Kelvins conditioning

Both of the Kiwis on the prelims win
I thought Kai Kara-France might have lost that decision. I think he just got edged in round 2 & 3, very close rounds though.
Great chin from Paiva, I can't remember anyone else taking clean strikes from Kai so easilyThe Young fight was entertaining. The UFC will push him.. they'll like his style

Anderson looks in very, very good shape. This is dangerous as shit for Israel but he should come through.
Good call. Israel won, but that was the best best Anderson has looked for a while.
Fun fight. This would have been a good card with one more fight..

Great fight.
Israel's toughest challenge to date.

We'll talk about it tomorrow

Not often I see a fighter get body-slammed onto the back of his neck and take a jackhammer of fists to the melon, and still comeback to choke out his opponent and win. If that was boxing the ref would have stopped the fight after the third punch to the head, and he took a lot more than that.
-
Yeah plenty of refs would have stopped it.
I thought Askren was intelligently defending himself reasonably quickly. First going for the wrists, then attempting to change position
The actual stoppage was a disaster. There's images of Lawler giving a thumbs up after Herb grabbed his arm.
Usman was incredible
Smith was not
Cody is dumb
Walker's knee was spectacular
