Yeah I just want the interim belt to be gone before he moves up.
He’ll be fighting for the real belt so there’s a couple of things that need to happen first

Good co-main for the Perth card. It's a been while since there's been a big Kiwi v Aussie fight
Erceg favourite after a good title challenge and KKF having a long injury break
Possibly some new CKB fighters in the UFC with 3 guys on the Contender Series. The Aussie Cam Rowston was meant to fight last series but didn't get medical clearance. Aaron Tau looks ready. I'm most interested in Navajo Stirling.. another kickboxer but he has some high praise for how fast he's picked up the other disciplines

The Manchester card should be good this weekend
Will be interesting to see how drunk the crowd are - doors open at 10pm, first fight at midnight, Edwards fighting around 5am
I'll pick all the Brits on the main card to win apart from Pimblett. I think Paddy's sloppy defence will cost him this time.
Apsinall is the best HW IMO. Edwards might have a tougher fight than the bookies are predicting

Just got into the UFC properly since #300. Working my way through the old events at the moment, pre-time limits/weight classes was pretty wild viewing.
#308 just announced, looks like to be a cracker. Surprised to see Ankalaev/Rakic, guess they're keeping Pereira on ice for a bit. Holloway/Topuria is very intriguing, Max has got to be the most likable fighter, would love to see him back at the top.

Not yet seen a Chimaev fight, seems to have a pretty fierce reputation when he isn't too sick to fight. I wonder where this leaves Strickland in the title contention now? I mean if Whittaker wins there surely there would be more interest in a Strickland title shot, than a Whittaker one considering previous results against Adesanya\DuPlessis

Hard to say for sure. Strickland has been popular but he keeps having these weird fights where he doesn't pull the trigger.
If Adesanya and Whittaker win I think Strickland gets the next shot. There's no interest in a trilogy
If DDP and RW wins it depends on the quality of the Whittaker win. DDP has beaten both RW and Strickland recently. Probably Strickland though
Khamzat can leapfrog Strickland with a good win IMO

Weirdly enough the heart wants Dricus to win but the head says it'll be Israel.
It's an interesting fight to see where Adesanya is at now. It's not an interesting fight because of the chat that has been genuinely retarded from both sides
The usual comments about if Izzy gets taken down apply. But he's hard to close distance on and hard to get & keep down. That's the challenge for DDP
In terms of striking peak Adesanya would have no problem IMO. DDP has loopy striking but does well dragging people into a dog fight. A disciplined Adesanya with his speed and straight strikes should be in control.. he's been at him best when people have tried to close distance hastily
But is Adesanya on a slide? His last fight was awful. Some fighters hit a wall fast. Was it an off night for whatever reason or the beginning of a big decline?
Another interesting thing is the noise from IA's training partners. They all say he is considerably larger than normal. I presume a move to LHW is imminent. How much bigger? Does that affect his speed? Also he normally doesn't have to cut much.. is he as fresh on fight night as before?

My thinking is he just went so above and beyond for the Pereira fight that it kinda wrecked him for the Strickland bout. Time off should hopefully fix that and at 35 should still be in decent form, I guess we'll see. The talk has been awful, certainly turned me away from being a fan of his. Hope he course corrects on that front, I'm going to guess Dricus will be the crowd favourite at least at the start of the match.

Im really looking forward to it. I hope Izzy can win but not exactly sure what DDP will bring and if its full noise, he will need to be accurate or Izzy will catch him. Its an interesting matchup for sure.
Im expecting a fair few South Africans to be there. SA vs Aus also in Perth on Sat so would be a good weekend to be a saffa there.
Not too confident in how the other CKB boys will go. Could easily be 0-3

Betfair has them winning one
I think Hooker has more of a chance than that and I'd have Adesanya as a warmer favourite. But I am only picking the one win
Hope I'm wrong
Pretty consistent with my thinking (also hope I'm wrong). Hooker will give it his all, prob take the dude further than expected but end up losing. I think Izy DDP odds are about right. Its close!

At this stage they are both a similar level. Erceg has gotten there very quickly though.. I'm assuming he has a higher ceiling
In KKF's favour he has more power. But that might not be a factor given well Erceg took shots from Pantoja
