    @Duluth cheers for sharing that. I'd seen them fizzing at the end of the fight, like Volk had won. I wasnt so sure but thought they've have a better idea than me so was stoked.

    Cant wait to see the rematch.

    Edwards or Usman?

    Usman dominated the last fight until “Headshot. Dead.” He should win this.. unless his ego makes him want to get into a striking fight. Edwards is trolling him into it.

    I’m picking Edwards get the style of fight he wants. He works over the body/legs and doesn’t go headhunting

    Fiziev to KO Gaethje

    @MiketheSnow

    Promising start to Jack Shore’s career at 145. Result was as expected but he looked comfortable at that weight

    I scored that the same as two of the judges. Edwards won four rounds and lost a point. Cormier was a bit confused in the commentary

    Edwards great accuracy to the body and legs

    36/39 body
    50/53 legs

    Izzy draws him against the cage, let’s him get sloppy and KO’s him

    Adesanya’s best finish. Better the Whittaker I

    If Pereira continues fighting I want to see him up against someone who can wrestle. I understand why the rushed him but he needs to face every test if he is to stay near the top of the rankings

    Pereira v Whittaker would be fun

    Amazing Rope a Dope ( or maybe that should be Cage a Dope ) from Izzy. Those punches came from nowhere but amazing KO power that I haven’t seen from him before.

    What an incredible finish from him. Great set up for a third UFC fight too, every fighter needs a trilogy !

    It'll be interesting to see how that works out

    Adesanya is one of the more active fighters and if he keeps his regular schedule he'll be fighting again in 3-4months. He wants to be active while he's at his peak so I can't imagine him waiting

    Meanwhile AP will have a medical break after a KO like that. I think the usual amount of time the UFC doesn't want sparring is 10-12 weeks?

    So they'll be out of sync. Izzy could lose in the meantime

    Plus Whittaker has cleaned out the division of everyone except Izzy. He deserves a big fight. I think he is a really bad matchup for Periera

    @MN5

    Yes, RW is more well rounded. Whittaker's highlights are mostly striking but he has a wrestling base. He can test Pereira in other ways.

    Adesanya is a kickboxer with good takedown defence. Pereira is a kickboxer whose fights in the UFC have basically been kickboxing fights

    Interesting. I’d assume Whitaker would lose to Pereira in a similar vein as he lost to Izzy.

    I do get what you mean though, the old ‘styles make fights’ adage

    Yeah and there's a lot of questions about Pereira. They rushed him because they knew he matched up well with Adesanya. How good is his gas tank when he's in a clinch battle? Can he work his way back to his feet etc

    Who knows? Maybe he KO's everyone else and it doesn't matter

    Yeah fair call. Just cos fighter A beat fighter B and fighter B beat fighter C doesn’t guarantee that fighter A beats fighter C.

    Pereira just seems to have similar strengths to Izzy ( more so I would have thought before todays fight )

    Joe Rogan and the gang certainly talked him up as a huge challenge but then again this is hardly unusual for them.
