Excited for how good Tyson Pedro might become. He’s mentally tough after working through injuries. He’s recently joined CKB and is moving to Auckland full time. Even just the sparring partners will be massive for his career

The MW fight was fun because of their flaws. Luke is tough.

Wow. I thought Edwards had a chance but the fight wasn’t go to plan

Down 3-1, 1min left and he pulls out a perfect head kick

Do a stadium event in London for the rematch, or maybe even the overdue Edwards v Jorge fight

Extraordinary finish. Would have been behind on all the scorecards before that.

I loved Rockholds fight and interview as well.

    WOW

Da Silva v Altamirano was a great opener

    Main Card was money

    Tyson Pedro was smooth
    Wu looked good
    Dvalishvili dominated Aldo

Never like Rockhold but you have to admire his courage and toughness
Costa could be back on track

I picked Edwards to win pre-fight with a mate but wacthing it I was

    R1 Edwards
    R2 Usman
    R3 Usman
    R4 Usman

    Thanks for coming Leon then

    Bammmmmmmmm
    Walk off KO
    Rocky, Rocky, Rocky
    The Rocky theme was gold

    Cormier is a brilliant commentator
Arguably one of the best out there in any sport

    Edwards v Usman 3
    In London

    Will be massive

Pound for pound rankings are subjective bollocks… until I like them

It’s great for the region to have Volk at no1 and Adesanya at no2

He can be very good. My complaint about him is that sometimes he concentrates on one fighter too much and it makes close fights seem one sided. Understandable though, he’s acting like a fan and he’s worked with a lot of these guys

Felder & Bisping are also entertaining and informative. Shame rugby isn’t as good at turning former athletes into quality commentators

The first UFC in France has a couple of good fights considering it's not a PPV

Whittaker should be too good for any middleweight not called Adesanya

Don't care who wins the HW fight, I like both of them. Gane more skillful than most HWs will probably outlast Tuivasa

Jourdain v Wood could be the most entertaining fight

    @MiketheSnow

Tuivasa had a pretty good fight but Gane was awesome. Took some risks to get the finish, not the usual Gane fight.

Whittaker way too good for Vettori

    The French debut went well

    Late to the thread……

Gane is huge, conditioned, powerful yet cautious. Kind of like a latter day Lennox Lewis.

The punch he caught from Tuivasa looked pretty innocuous to the naked eye but apparently it was a genuine knockdown. He went to town on him after that though, completely outclassed.

I can’t wait for a ( hopeful ) rematch between him and Ngannou.

That should have been Fight / Performance of the Night for sure

As much as he’s a knob, Chimaev was awesome

And Diaz finished two careers this evening

What do they do with him now? Surely he should only be considered a middleweight now?

There's an argument for putting him up against Whittaker right now. I think I fight vs Costa would be fun though

Make him go through Costa and then Whittaker to get a title shot

I think he'd beat Costa and lose to Whittaker (especially if it's a 5 rounder)

    It's a tough one

Misses weight on a Championship fight = disaster

Realistically only Covington and Usman can cope with his ground skills at Welterweight

At Middleweight, only Pereira, Whitaker and Adesanya can cope with all round game

If I was Chimaev, I would knuckle down and get the Welterweight crown

Then move up to attempt Champ Champ status

    He's that good

Kinda late on the bandwagon with UFC but shit it’s entertaining. Have caught the last few PPVs and am hooked. Sunday avo is a great time to have a few beers with the old man and ex wife’s hubby ( yes this combo works, always great fun ) and watch it.

The hype leading up to it is great ( I love how Joe Rogan looks like some drunk uncle at a wedding in his suit ) and it’s just bam bam bam…..fight after fight. With everyone’s contrasting strengths and weaknesses it’s easy to see how a striker might beat a grappler….some guys have much better ground games etc…..and the ruthlessness after a knockdown is brutal. Some of those guys are tough as fuck.

Loads of fighters have impressed me, I’m pretty old school though, it’s the heavyweights who really excite me overall. Ngannou vs Gane will be a terrific rematch. Sergei Pavloviches demolition job on Derrick Lewis was amazing too. Apparently he has an 84 inch reach ! Holy shit ! ( For comparison Joseph Parker’s is 76 inches despite being a bit taller )

I have high hopes for Aspinall. I can see him and Gane having a series of great fights.

Hopefully Jon Jones gets added to the HW mix too.. then suddenly there's plenty of fun fights in this division
