@nepia That was what I was thinking; still a pity he won't play for his home province, though.
It's all good, we got BBBR because he chose Canterbury over the Hawkes Bay.
Maybe our locking spots are full or his Wellington Hurricanes contract is tied into Wellington province contract?
Canterbury and Crusaders, comes to Chiefs who help him regain form and an AB jumper anbd repays them by chasing the $$ overseas, returns and signs with Wellington (franchise and province) - the dude is as dead to me as Jason Taumalolo.

@canes4life No A Savea?
-
@higgins no Ardie yet. Hoping the big three of Ardie, Perenara and Barrett confirm their stay. But all of them leaving can't be ruled out either with the league rumours and the 'Jordie to the Blues' rumour.
A recent article suggested the Canes had signed up 28 players for 2022. With no media release actually citing who those players are.
-
@canes4life They forgot Asafo Aumua, who is signed through to 2023.
-
@stargazer that's true. I've updated the list above.

@higgins James Blackwell is a god.
Sir Pinetree, Richie and Dan are in that category (and Beaver for a very brief period). J Blackwell would rank about choir boy status.
