Tony Brown didn't really announce new signings on The Breakdwon. He talked about Fetuli Paea as a new signing, and the importance of the experience of some players, Aaron Smith in particular.
Wasn't there some talk about the Highlanders signing Liam Squire? I wondered whether that was part of his reference to experience?

Think I just saw in the socials we went after aj lam, could that be who he was talking about?
-
@Kiwiwomble Yep, I posted that in the Blues thread.
-
@Yeetyaah bit of a random one, thought we'd be downsizing the staff if anything, would be good to see a more hard hitting defensive line
looks like we've recruited in the loosies, think we can expect a forward heavy bench again this season and always running with one of our loosies out in the back line on defense
-
after posting that I realized how sick that sounds!

@Bovidae im wondering about a rebrand
the "Makopies" and black and white flying shark
Who would have thought anyone would have the imagination for a worse combination than the Vikings.

I know its an Orca and not a shark but you get the idea
-
@Kiwiwomble Now that's hideous!
-
@Stargazer magpies can be bad enough...now give them teeth!
-
Squire coming back?
-
@taniwharugby that's definitely going around, we'd surely need to et some of our fringe loosies, misiloi maybe, go as we seem very loosie heavy
-
@Yeetyaah yeah, think he had an injury that turned into poor form and then maybe struggled being away from nz during COVID
I kind of see a role like Manu had played for Otago this year, tempo lift of the bench with the odd start
that's all assuming the saders haven't lured frizell away
