Just so I'm clear: if I don't think Walden is much chop, I'm not watching, but if I thought he was, I must be watching? So on this basis, the Highlanders coaches are blindfolded? Or just out and out blind? Or far too busy playing Fortnight in the box to notice Walden's unrelentingly pulsating performances?

@shark just so I'm clear - loads of people think he's quality yet you say he's useless. He's not even super level yet he absolutely diced a couple of super level players when winning the shield last week. Looks great holding that shield eh.
Poihipi and I Punivai are SR players? Can you not do better than amateur-ish inaccuracies and silly off-topic digs?

Are the Crusaders not a SR team? Who knew eh. Silly me being inaccurate.
The fact that you're promoting Thompson as a loss says everything. If you were watching this year you would've seen a player that's a shell of his former self and being outplayed by Tomkinson. Tomkinson. We can't say the same about Walden as he never got a chance, but he outplayed Thompson last year who you seem to think is great 😂

Oh right, gotcha. You assert Walden 'diced' two SR level players, who were two guys who haven't played SR. But you say that's NOT inaccurate because they somehow still ARE Crusaders, possibly because they play for Canterbury. So every Canterbury rep is also a Crusader by default? You're embarrassing.
Thompson has been a bloody good player for 5-6 seasons. He may have been below par this year but he's still put together a much, much more impressive body of work than Walden.

Yeah who cares if he's playing awful, he was great in 2019. That's really sound thinking. Wonder why he fell off a cliff this year? Almost like he was made to look even better by a player inside him...
You must be all over the NMS signing, I mean how good was he 5 years ago?

@Kiwiwomble ok... what's your preferred reason?
-
@Bones Wow, this is getting ugly. Poihipi has played for the Crusaders Development side, or Crusader Knights. As the following excerpt from a story in The Star from a couple of weeks ago on a recently named Canterbury side says:
There are only two players missing Super Rugby exposure - Newell and midfielder Rameka Poihipi.
Should I take it that any player who makes a development team is "Super Rugby level" as you said earlier??

His recent sprint training with Owen Franks really paid off
