@mariner4life Yes I would think your Broncos would be a great example of how a relatively chief free agent QB can be great value.
There should be a few veteran QBs around (Jimmy G etc).
-
If the season finished today, here's the first 10 picks:
- Lions
- Texans
- Jaguars
- Jets (via Seahawks)
- Jets
- Giants
- Giants (via Bears)
- Eagles
- Eagles (via Dolphins)
- Panthers
I'm sure the Seahawks never dreamed that the price for Jamal Adams would include a top 5 pick, earlier than the Jets. The Seahawks have a crazy soft schedule from here so they probably won't finish below the Jets though they are looking very rough.
Highly touted QBs in the draft so any one of the three teams with double picks (and Eagles are looking likely to get the third with Wentz playing so many snaps for the Colts) could look to grab a veteran QB. None of them will be desperate though unless their current starters really go off the rails, but if Wilson or Rodgers is available...

The Patriots are getting better every frikken week.
I've been watching Jones develop. Turns out I quite like Belichek - he's a dirty, cheating, taciturn, incredibly effective coach. The demeanour of Grizz Wylie, the analytical mindset of Wayne Smith. What amazese me is how he can develop defenses - takes a bunch of no-names, and they just get better and better through the season. Really remarkable.

Jones is the best performed rookie QB on show. While not the best physical specimen in the draft, he is showing lots of other great qualities. I'm watching the Tom Brady doco right now, and you can see how hard Belichek works, the team are responding

Massive weekend for the 49ers try to solidify a wild card spot as they play a Seattle team in poor form. A few weeks back I thought the 9ers season was over. What a weird NFL season this is
that went well
also Teddy Bridgewater fucking sucks.
and the fact he gets to start shows how shit Drew Lock is.
-
The Chiefs missing connections that have been going to hand over the past few years. They just aren't quite there
Which is okay, they are still good. Brady and the Patriots have distorted everyone's view of what a good team is, and how long they can be at the top.

Typical 49ers effort vs Seattle - I think Seattle is 16-4 vs the 49ers in their last 20 contests over the last decade.
The NFC only has 5 teams with a winning record - Vikings lost to the Lions so the last 2 spots in the wildcard are gonna be wide open.

There's a reason Mac Jones last until mid-first round - he doesn't exactly have a cannon for an arm.

old school craziness. Just finished watching, and really enjoyed it. Pats are amazinglyw ell coached. Josh Allen a very good QB, but Jones showing how good he can be in a system
@KiwiMurph he may not have a massive arm, but he's getting the job done with a cast outside him of no-names. Belichek some coach

His greatest virtue seems to be that he is very receptive to being coached, and appears to be a quick learner

Jones threw 3 pass attempts the whole game.
I respect what Jones has done this season but this game in particular was all about the coach.
If Allen had the running game of the Patriots it would have been a very different story.

to be clear- I wasn't just talking about today with Jones, but the season. That said, today he just did what was needed, with no ego.
As for the Pats running game, it wasn't spectacular going in, and the Bills had the fourth best run D in the league I understand. So they took an opponent strength and destroyed it.
All about Belichek, who looked almost happy at the end of the game. I enjoyed it, was throwback football in terrible conditions

weelllll
They ran, a lot. It got them 1 long range TD, and two field goals
They had 11 first downs for the game. Their 3rd down efficiency was dogshit.
The run game didn't win them the game, their defense conceding no TDs won them the game.
I thought it was an awful game to watch, that's both prime time games this weekend that sucked
(best comment on SNF i saw was "this game could have been an email"

Three massive massive defensive plays. The second to last one where a DB came back to bat the ball down was epic.
I'm a masochist, but I really enjoyed the game. Just proper, old fashioned smash mouth footy, in super tough adverse conditions. Loved it. Wouldn't want to watch it every week, but good fun.
Defence was huge, but they didn't have a great running game going in, and Bills had a strong defence. To put the numbers up they did was bloody good. Well done Bill and the Evil Empire.
I've really warmed to Post-TB Belichek. He's a grumpy bastard, but he's tongue in cheek and seems to be enjoying himself. Plus coaching with his sons - how cool is that!
-
jesus that TD by the Vikings was simple! couple of just huge runs, then a wide open receiver
Like these Vikings uniforms too

Cook coming back after dislocating his shoulder 11 days ago is insane. In that league.
Must win time for teh Vikes, and they are looking good so far
