Meanwhile, first five-eighth Aaron Cruden has been promoted to start in his 100th match for the franchise, with coach Warren Gatland admitting not using him off the bench in the 33-31 defeat to the Highlanders a fortnight back was to try and manipulate it so that the milestone match was on home turf.

@Bones Evans is already broken and Lowe already gets injured if you just look at him. No punch needed.

@Tim I'm not surprised. I watched the "incident" several times and it was only TJP with his usual theatrics screaming it was a punch (which was repeated by the commentators), and an AR saying something liket Strange's (fore?)arm hitting Jordie's face/nose. On the images that were shown by Sky, you can with some imagination (it wasn't in close-up) see that Strange's arm touches Jordie's face, but you can't see any striking motion. They didn't show any replay of the incident (the ref didn't go to the TMO), so I can only assume that other camera angles showed that there was nothing in it.

Poor old Jordie with his nose spraying blood for no reason again 😂

he should get that looked at. He might have Ebola

    maybe @Snowy can diagnose?

Quiet I'm trying to imagine what would happen if Strange punched Evans or Lowe. Do you think those nearby would notice all the air be sucked out of the room before the explosion?

well, the paradox created when the HB player is knocked out by the Crusaders player

So just to clarify, you think Jordie's nose was so scared it started pissing blood?

@Bones I never said that Strange's arm didn't touch his nose. I just said that I didn't see a striking motion of his arm. It could - for example - have happened when he lost his balance in the ruck and fell, and in that motion his arm connected with Jordie's nose who was lying on the ground. But that's just guessing, because - as I said - the footage is unclear/doesn't show it.

😂 Brilliant. His nose started bleeding after it was struck by Strange. Pretty simple. What did Strange go to the bin for?

@Bones He got yellow because the AR said he saw him striking(?) (I don't remeber the exact word he used) Jordie with his (fore)arm. Maybe the Citing Commissioner, after watching other camera angles - concluded that the AR was wrong, or that it was completely accidental, or that it was so low-end that it didn't require a citing and that the yellow card was enough.

I don't know why it's so hard to grasp. Look at the footage yourself, and you'll see it's very unclear what happened when Jordie was at the bottom of that pile of bodies.

@Stargazer why would I look at the bottom of a pile of bodies when I can clearly see Strange striking him when standing up? Ohhhh I'd do that if I'm looking for any reason for a Crusader to not have done wrong. I geddit.

@bones beat me too it, but JB and Strange were standing holding each other at arms length when he was struck by Strange's right hand.

@Stargazer bullshit, they showed the footage of his fist making contact with his face. Could you get more one-eyed.

I'm still confused as to why squeaky clean Strange didn't have the card reversed as he obviously didn't punch Jordie.

Also confused as to why that dangerous nose-butting action of Barrett's hasn't been written up immediately.
