Lander’s 8
ESPN has him with two tackles but he led the forwards for metres.
same stats by the look
-
I’m more in the Ioane at 6 than 8 boat. Think he looks far more assured on the side and in that tight role. Today he was behind a dominant scrum so was easy yards off the back.
-
Watched this on delay after playing. Great game to watch. If the Blues can lower the amount of penalties they give away, they'd be very difficult to beat.
Aaron Smith is amazing. Ioane was superb at eight. Frizzel is becoming the clear firm blindside flanker in the competition IMO. With a better pack he'd be dominant. As normal, some real depth in NZ rugby when it comes to backrowers.

Yrah, I'd be happy to chick Ardie at 8 and have both Frizzel and Sotutu on the bench...

He can be Light Skinned Maori Jesus to differentiate.
Shit, maybe you've cracked it. The claw wants to be light skinned Maori Jesus and so stalled Walden's rise!

Expect Clan starting 8 to be mullered at scrum time.
Heard that before a few times....
I think you'll have to give me that one.

Haha! Aaaaabsolutely stuffed. Interesting to note that the Highlanders scrum goes faster in reverse than Michael Collins on a clean break. (Gratuitous doff for the blues fans)

Team stranded in Dunedin.Flight to Auckland cancelled.

Waiting for another TMO decision perhaps!

@Kirwan Dunedin is great, best city in NZ.
There is only one city in NZ, do you mean best town?

@Kirwan its a city...
-
-
@Gunner happy to have that explained if it went over my head
-
@Kiwiwomble I think @Kirwan was referring to the fact that NZ cities (except Auckland) are more like small towns on a world scale.

Specifically, I was playing up to the Jaffa sterotype. Should have used more emojis I guess

Auckland is a village on the Chinese scale
Or even the US or UK scale. But we are talking about the NZ scale. Clearly only one city, and a few towns with delusions of grandeur.

we'd be about 5th in the US.
But not even in the top 50 in China.
Fun fact: USA is the third most populous country in the world. If they had another billion people, they'd still be third.
-
@trodthesod Oh damn I could have given some of them a ride up to Chch haha to jump on a flight.
I assume its because of the fog? Its very foggy in Dunners today.

Yep. We really had something to talk about. How's that Gatland guy doing for your team?

That's interesting, I assumed US cities were much bigger, but they're pretty spread out. Compare UK where AKL would be 4th not 5th, to UK pop 66 million rather than US 328!

Back to the game..
Ofa's been putting in a couple of these hits every week. The best defensive prop in NZ

Ages 25 & 26
About the same age Kaino was when he nailed an AB spot

@Duluth expect there were plenty of hits in the Tu'ungafasi backyard when they were growing up, as Isi puts in some big hits too.

That's deceptive.
There's a big difference between city populations and 'metro' populations in the US.
San Francisco's 'city' population is 800k but the San Francisco-Oakland metro is nearly 5 million (not even counting all of Silicon Valley).
Auckland's wider metro population is probably close to 2 million - but that would put them around 35th in the US of metro populations.

@KiwiMurph Is Auckland one city at the moment or a number of cities?
