@Kiwiwomble I think @Kirwan was referring to the fact that NZ cities (except Auckland) are more like small towns on a world scale.

Auckland is a village on the Chinese scale

Specifically, I was playing up to the Jaffa sterotype. Should have used more emojis I guess

Auckland is a village on the Chinese scale
Or even the US or UK scale. But we are talking about the NZ scale. Clearly only one city, and a few towns with delusions of grandeur.

we'd be about 5th in the US.
But not even in the top 50 in China.
Fun fact: USA is the third most populous country in the world. If they had another billion people, they'd still be third.

@trodthesod Oh damn I could have given some of them a ride up to Chch haha to jump on a flight.
I assume its because of the fog? Its very foggy in Dunners today.

Yep. We really had something to talk about. How's that Gatland guy doing for your team?

That's interesting, I assumed US cities were much bigger, but they're pretty spread out. Compare UK where AKL would be 4th not 5th, to UK pop 66 million rather than US 328!

Ioane was superb at eight. Frizzel is becoming the clear firm blindside flanker in the competition IMO.
Ages 25 & 26
About the same age Kaino was when he nailed an AB spot

That's deceptive.
There's a big difference between city populations and 'metro' populations in the US.
San Francisco's 'city' population is 800k but the San Francisco-Oakland metro is nearly 5 million (not even counting all of Silicon Valley).
Auckland's wider metro population is probably close to 2 million - but that would put them around 35th in the US of metro populations.
