Liking this comp, very entertaining
Except for the overall winning being super obvious.
Up to the other teams to beat them. The gap is closing.
-
Well done canes ,
Hopefully they can beat the crusaders next week to keep the comp open

Fuck BB gets a free pass. He was ordinary tonight, and that last pass for the error was a shocker.
Jordie easily the best Barrett tonight
Good game that, enjoyed it. Thanks both teams
Jordie has been really really good since coming back from injury. Starting to cut out the ridiculous errors from his game now.
If he can play within himself he can be excellent. Its the marginal stuff that kills him

Two points
As dominant a game from a second five eighth as you will ever see. Damn that man is good.
Also, Akira's problems of drifting in and out of games seems to be a thing of the past. He was everywhere tonight. Not flash but 100% for effort. -

entertaining game, Blues definitely missed some of those injured or rested players...
Canes did well to hang in an nab it thought, about 25 to go, looked like the Blues would run away with it.
Jordie taking on a bit of responsibility for canes and the better for it (maybe should take some off TJP as a way to help him keep his trap shut?)

great to see hyperbole still alive and kicking on here!
I thought he had a good game, but nothing special.

Damn good game, enjoyed the banter on the forum.
Ditto. The tribalism is out in full force again, it’s great
I think it helps that they're the two most civilized sets of supporters

Congrats to the Canes..to me the real difference was in an around discipline, the Blues gave up to much field position with with needless penalties when they were defending , some of them you could only describe as lazy ..even with some key guys out , you have got to trust your depth , the game was there for the taking ..As for Beauden Barrett , I can’t help feel but underwhelmed ,..why would keep putting up high kicks to your brother who is superb under the high ball..?, talking about doing the same thing an expecting a different result ..however we move on ..
One other thing , I have got to say what an articulate skipper Patrick Tuipulotu is turning out to be. -
Thought Jordie and Laumape both had great games for the Canes. Having five big outside backs is hard to contain if they can put it together.
Canes just about deserved to win that, though it nearly got away from them in the final quarter. Should have scored more points in the first half.
A couple of seasons ago the Blues didn't score a try from a lineout drive all season - two tonight. Definitely some things moving in the right direction for them.

So I'm sitting at the pub on my own here in Wanaka watching this game.
I've just noticed that 2 tables away is Steve Hanson with a mate and their wives.
Any questions for him?
He's barely watching the game BTW.
Why did he leave out Sam Cane against England?
