Sam Whitelocks calm head was everything in these closing minutes ..should be the All Black captain #justsaying
North would've won if the current All Black captain was on the field. #justsaying
Cos he knows all about winning games as captain this year.....

@antipodean True. Just look at what he and his captaincy ability brought to the Chiefs this year.

Hard to carry an inept coach and a squad with no locks.

@antipodean clearly it's not a a matter of understanding the law. Your link to the laws governing a maul does not back up your case. Because the only things in this instance that you can claim to being in place for the maul to continue. Is point 13 & 13 of the laws. Defending players internationally leaving the maul. Neither happened. So like the ref, my interpretation is the maul is over the moment the attacking team broke off. They should've been aware and not form a wedge. Just because the interpretation by referees has been favourable to attacking team in instances like this, doesn't mean those interpretation ms in correct

Lots of love for A Smith on here tonight. This is a bit controversial, but I thought he was average. Sure, a class above TJ, but hardly impressive. Indecisive, sloppy, lots of telling but not much actual engagement.
Obviously our #1 HB and has had an amazing season, but tonight? Not so much.

Wil Jordan must be a starting AB.
One catch and try, an all black does not make. I only watched the second half, but that was it from him. As to Clark, his throw randomly in field cost the North the game. So neither test match ready
