'Super Rugby' 2021

@Yeetyaah Good question! You'd think that most of the players have already been signed, but the exact number of spots in the squads may depend on the competition format/length. This may affect the signing of players for a few spots that possibly haven't been filled, yet. And that may mean a lot of insecurity for the players hoping to get those last spots, who may be tempted to sign elsewhere (Japan, MLR) if it takes too long as their livelihood is at stake.
Anyway, I don't think the squads will be named at the end of this month. I'd expect them to wait until the end of Mitre 10 Cup.

I sent all the Super teams a DM on Instagram asking when the Super squads would be named and the Highlanders replied and said all squads will be named in early December after the Mitre 10 Cup.
Good work @Yeetyaah

A Thursday?

Haha well we knew this was coming.

im over it, give them what they want, if what NZR say is correct in that SRA isn't sustainable long term, we might need to swallow our pride, the reality for the Landers for example is we very rarely thrash anyone and for teams as good as the Saders...they get to blood some young guys against the Force

Yeah the common sense way is 5+5 next year, introduce a couple more next year. RA is totally in the right, NZR have been utter cockwombles. Yes Ozzie rugby ain't great, but it is better than the outer mongolian sun goliaths
Yep, the NZRU have totally lost the plot.
8 team trans Ta$man was a decent idea but the Aussies were never going to go for it.
10 team trans Ta$man was slightly less desirable but would work pretty well.
This new expansion comp idea is just nuts. Especially considering one of the main contenders to join is the fucking force! Who were one of the main reasons a 10 team comp wasn’t desirable. WTF. -

NZR: see, I've got this backup girl...

@Derpus NZ had three debutants too - and our most experienced back was Rieko with 29 caps!
At times the forward alignment was all over the shop, as the system bedded in. I think we've got a lot of upside once the team plays together; hopefully far more than the Wobs who played really well

@Derpus Something like that.
Certainly aquited themselves well. Having a decent coach sure helps too.
Still not sure about the "depth" headline though. A full super season and a few internationals might show some cracks - but it probably would for us too.
