NH 'Refugees' Availability for Mitre 10 Cup?
-
Lots of stories on various players in the media recently, around playing status. The latest I've seen are conjecture around Dan Carter and also Jamie MacKintosh. Purely theory / fantasy at this point, but let's say SR is scrapped and we have a full Mitre 10 Cup comp, and some of the guys who won't be/can't be playing in the NH who are here make themselves available, who's on the list? Other guys discussed have been Sam Whitelock and Kieran Read.
No point making a list of very Kiwi playing overseas under 40 or anything as it's too broad, but how many players actually came back here rather than staying in the NH to wait this out? These will be the guys' who's competitions are likely not to proceed or be resumed and / or who might find it difficult even to travel back to their NH playing base so could play a season of domestic footy here.

@Bovidae said in NH 'Refugees' Availability for Mitre 10 Cup?:
It would only be those players from Japan and the USA comp.
Are the current 100 squad members from the Sunwolves still in Japan?
Yeah, even if there is no rugby up north why would you let a contracted player play down here? You would only do it if you are paid money.
Besides, NZRU will be doing everything they can to get internationals happening as that is where the money is.
