@stargazer atleast the Wainui coach has enough sense to start PUJ at 13.

Background on one of the props starting for Takapuna in their semifinal:

Harbour teamsheets are available here each week:
https://www.sporty.co.nz/nhrugbydrawsandresults#modal
Between the Tonga/Samoa game, and NZ U20, quite a few players are unavailable for their Auckland and Harbour clubs (e.g. Eden are missing their 6 and 8).
Jack Heighton has seen the light and moved from EBC to Takapuna, and starts at 10 with Bryn Gatland on the bench.

McWhannell
Has he been able to play for Waikato or the Chiefs yet? Horror injury run.
-
@tim McWhannell played club rugby last week but I don't know if he played previous to that. The start of his return from those injuries. He has yet to play for the Chiefs but has for Waikato back in 2017-18.
@OleOleOle Tucker and McWhannell as the starting locks would be good.
-
@canes4life Wainui with be hitting him with heaps of high balls.

I will hopefully make the Taka vs Cotes game tomorrow

Interesting TJ selection for Norths this week.
Honestly at that level TJ could hold his own at any position from 6 out!
-
Mid Northern beat OBM 36-30, in a game where the lead swapped numerous times, MN took the win over OBM who had sat atop the table from round 1 until 2nd to last round.
In the other semi the Sharks put Kamo away 36-19, following the score online it looked like kamo lead early from a penalty but once Sharks got ahead they were just too good, as they have looked against everyone else the past 2 months and will surely be faves for the final next week (which will be thier 1st final I believe since the amalgamation of 2 lower division teams 5 or so years back)
MN reserves also won thier semi over the Shark reserves, while Kamo won a tight and scrappy encounter with Hora Hora in the other semi.
Kamo received 2 yellow cards and a red while HH recieved a yellow and 2 reds.Several players from the Kamo and Sharks reserves jumped in thier cars after thier games and drove to Dargaville to sit on the bench for thier Prems side.
Premiership Final:
Western Sharks v Mid Northern
Reserves Final:
Kamo v Mid NorthernWorth noting MN were on the verge of relegation in 2019 but for the top team from div 1 not being able to field a team, MN got a reprieve from the promo-relegation match.

Can you give us a brief synopsis of the actual story? It's paywalled.
