Chiefs v Hurricanes

How gutsy have the Canes been..?..what a superb victory ..
-
Great to see young Pouri Rakete Stones start fill his potential..his work rate was off the scale..
-
It's worth reflecting how even this year's competition seems so far.

Second home loss for the Chiefs. Must be worrying Gats and co.
Apparently not, because they keep making the same mistakes...
-
@Steven-Harris He was awesome! It's a pity that he couldn't score that try; he was so close!

@Donsteppa oh yeah but the canes are when they give away 3 cards in the final 10 last week?
I'm no Canes fan... they can worry about that themselves
-
Nice kick from jordie under pressure as well ,
That’s what you Expect from your elite players , but nice to see him do it all the same
-
@Stargazer totally agree, good shift from the young man,I know talking to Tony Hanks at the Blues, they were dead keen on him..but John Plumtree had tagged him early in the Mitre 10cup..probably the best game I have seen from Jordie Barrett, thought Kirifi was very good as well..mean game ..
-
@Steven-Harris IMO Jordie was a bit hot and cold. Some really good stuff, mixed with some stupid mistakes.
I like Kirifi, huge workrate and great over the ball. -
Five players stood out for me tonight and were key to the Canes victory.
G Evans: best player on the park tonight and stayed composed when it mattered. He’s in my All Blacks squad atm.
JBarrett: match winner and is coming into his own this season.
Blackwell: gets a lot of stick on here about being a lock (me included) but he really showed why he keeps getting selected. Massive ticker.
Kirifi: massive work rate and exceptional performance against Sammy Cane. One for the future.
Rakete-Stones: Game changing performance from the young prop. His work rate is out of this world.Big worry is that of Izzy Walker’s shoulder. Can we afford to lose the big man in that engine room. I’m not too sure.
