@Bones I assume they've only added a region before the name where there's the possibility of confusion with another team? (Waikato Chiefs - Exeter Chiefs, Natal Sharks - Sale Sharks, Auckland Blues - Cardiff Blues)
Well that's what anyone with at least a hint of intelligence would think, yes.

@Machpants I don't think so. He has met the residency requirement as it applies before the cut-off date of 31 December 2020. The words "... consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing" in Regulation 8.1 (see below) make it a bit unclear, but it would be weird if an injury would lead to an extension of the residency requirement.
8.1 Subject to Regulation 8.2, a Player may only play for the senior fifteen-a-side National Representative Team, the next senior fifteen-a-side National Representative Team and the senior National Representative Sevens Team of the Union of the country with which the Player has a genuine, close, credible and established national link in which: (c) he has completed sixty¹ consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing; or
¹ The sixty-month residency requirement comes into effect after the cut-off date of December 31, 2020. The residency requirement up to and including December 31, 2020 is “thirty-six consecutive months of Residence immediately preceding the time of playing”.

@Stargazer It'd be a nasty surprise but to me it looks like it does. After 31st December to play under residency requirements you've gotta have done 60 months. He won't have. Same as sometimes players get picked for training squads, even before they are resident, doesn't lock them in until they play a test.

Great to see Jarrod Evans start.
