The more I listen the more I think Fozzie could be head coach. He's been in the setup and provides some continuity so we dont lose all we've learned in the last 14 years or so. But he needs quality coaches to run the team, who can provide new ideas and approaches. Robertson and Brown
I'm pretty sure that is the approach he is taking. As Shag has explained, his role is simply to manage the other experts in the team, not be the dictator. I think Fozzie has learned enough of those organisational and directional skills that if he was to assemble a team of hands on coaches it would do well.
I could see him pitching a 'Director/Manager' role with someone like JJ or Razor as head coach.I'm really not sure if that is enough to lure JJ away from the buckets of Yen that must be being waved under his nose but maybe there is some succession planning as part of it whereby Fozzie runs this WC cycle with his supporting act then taking over.

JJ is being offered double his current salary by Japan. They'll need him if they are joining the Rugby Championship (man I hope they change that name)

It would be interesting to know how much this is in comparison to what the AB coaches are paid. Judging by the Chch house Hansen is selling he did alright.

Yeah hate that name, like World Champs in USA. Five Nations the Reboot? Holders of 8 World Cups League?

Call it the World League and slowly grow it into that

I guess different people have different motivations and different thresholds, but you'd think Jamie's probably gone up a few rungs on Maslow's hierarchy - and the ABs job wouldn't be leaving him a pauper.

Unless he gets assurances it would be wise to take the money

I went for Joseph and I hope that means we would get Brown as well.
On a side note. I was shocked to see how many people were calling for Foster takeover, in my news feed today. All people I thought knew something about rugby too.:face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:
So how many ferners are on your feed?

He's got his ponys too, that could be more the money spinner

@Stargazer Yep. He said it didn't feel right for him to float around in three different coaching teams - so he's sticking with Jamie.
Wherever Jamie ends up, Tony's planning on going with him - unless it's Australia - he was very specific about that!
Other announcement on the Breakdown was that they will announce the Super squads next week.

He also said Joseph is back in New Zealand on Wednesday and he'll catch up with him then.
He was not 100 per cent certain Joseph would apply for the All Blacks job.
Brown's work as the Brave Blossoms' attack coach has enhanced his reputation and it was reported last week that both Foster and Robertson were keen to incorporate him into their coaching teams as they seek to become New Zealand head coach, with an appointment expected in the next year.
Brown will be back in Super Rugby next year, running the Highlanders' game plans and strategy, but he is obviously keen to get involved at All Blacks level.
"I still want to coach the All Blacks, whether that's now or in four years," he told Breakdown.
