Georgia will run away with it now. The Uruguayans look knackered.

Interesting that these 2 teams both have genuinely good home-grown, fully pro, 9s and 10s.

    Each team has 2 x 9s and 1 x10 playing in Top 14.

Often teams at this level have a tier 1 first-five.

I remember when Georgia only had a pack, then a pack plus a 9, the quality gradually getting out to the high numbers.

Edit. Actually Arata doesn't appear to be a Top 14 pro, but is keeping Top 14 pro Ormachaea on the bench.

Bugger. Red card, 3 minutes before full time. RWC over for the Uru reseve hooker.

Question is whether they have a third hooker in their squad.

Don't really have to do all that much to get a red card these days do you?

That seems harsh to me. There is accidental contact to the head in every game, are they all red cards now?

    FT: Georgia 33 - 7 Uruguay

Well-deserved win to Georgia, who were clearly the better team. But hats off to Uruguay, who tried until the final whistle, despite playing Fiji only 4 days ago.

Good game, looked pretty hot out there.

Yeah definitely. Looked to me like bad timing and the other player had definitely dropped. Certainly wasn't intentional, yellow would have been fair but he put himself in position for the red I guess.

Not sure how they define that eye area; where the boundaries are, but the tips of his fingers came close to the eye.

@Kirwan No. I don't think he made contact with the eyes, but you'd need different camera angles to be sure. (I changed the pic in my previous post by the way, to show the three different offences).

Ref and TMO looked at it and penalised with a warning.

That Uruguay try off set piece was beautiful. But Georgia just bossed them

No you don't. It really is go low or go home at this cup.

Changes rugby quite a bit in terms of ball contest, dominant tackles, creating malls, etc.

or, go high, get the other guy penalised when your neck hits his forearms.
