RWC: Japan v Ireland (Pool A)

It's a childish, unfair thing to say but it's a pity Sexton wasn't playing.
Would have loved to seen his face at the final whistle

@Billy-Tell He's got to be in the conversation for an All Black coaching role.
Let's not copy England and Eddie Jones...
-
@Victor-Meldrew I'd say similar to Murrays...
That was a mammoth defensive effort by Japan, simply outstanding, thought Ireland would open them up in the final quarter, but Japan just kept getting up and knocking them back!
-
Best doing a good job in the post match interview. Took nothing away from that Japanese effort.

Nagare, the Japanese Half Back, was outstanding.
And they have Tanaka - who's seriously classy - coming on to replace him

Leitch was huge today.
Mafi’s ball running in the first half was huge, but when Leitch came on the intensity went up a gear especially defensively. The team really followed his lead.
Really impressed with the Japanese tight 5 reserves. Those front row reserves really landed their hits.
Massive game coming Japan and Scotland.

Fuck you Schmidt - post-match interview.
You weren't hard done by, you were done over.
Wear it.

my FB feed has exploded with a range of comments about the Irish....
-
@MiketheSnow I didnt watch, what was he moaning about?
I know Murray wasnt happy as he wasnt getting the penalty at every break down, I thought Gardner did well not letting him milk penalties all day
-
The surge upfield that resulted in the penalty that haven Japan a 7 point lead, after defending like demons for 15 minutes straight, was the defining moment of the game for me. Just incredible.
