RWC team of the first round
-
- Kitshoff (SA) : he was a beeeeast.
- Latu (Aus) : Scored two tries and was everywhere on the park.
- Furlong (Irl) : strong, as usual.
- Barrett (NZ) : redemption for him.
- Ryan (Irl) : excellent in everything he did.
- Savea (NZ) : outstanding despite a few weak tackles.
- Yato (Fiji) : played only 25 minutes but what minutes !
- Himeno (Jap) : barnstorming runs all night.
- Dupont (Fra) : maybe the best scrumhalf in the world.
- Volavola (Fiji) : ran the show when his forwards won their ammunition.
- Adams (Wales) : plenty of speed.
- Tuilagi (Eng) : impressive. I know he is a centre but it is to put ALB in there.
- ALB (NZ) : His association with Crotty has always been great.
- Penaud (Fra) : His breaks led to tries while Kolbe's were beautiful but sterile.
- B. Barrett (NZ) : not bad from a non specialist fullback.
-
He wouldn’t make the team of the week but the replacement Georgian 9 is all class. He played really well at U20 level and made a difference off the bench vs Wales. No idea why he doesn’t just start.
I thought Henderson just outshone Ryan for Ireland.
