Wellington vs Counties Manukau
-
Goosen is class
-
Hala is also a decent player! (not in Goosen's class yet)
-
@Canes4life You ststed that he was the weak point of the pack, completely overlooking the woring over the front row was being given. By your statement it appears that you do not consider a poor front row to be a weaskness.
-
Use the backs for christs sake.
-
@Canes4life You simply stated the the blindside flanker was the weakness in the Wellington forward pack. I was merely pointing out there are other big weaknesses in the Wellington forwards, particularly when scrums are involved. My apologies for thinking scrums are probably the biggest part of what front rows are rated on.
-
How was that not a knock on at the lineout..?,
-
@Higgins these guys are bloody young though, so no, that's not all I'm going to judge them on at this stage of their career. They all showed in that last passage of play that they are all devastating ball carriers.
And yes, Kafatolu is the weakness - he is an aging club player and it's showing.
-
@Stargazer good defence, but fair to say there should have been a card earlier.
-
@Canes4life No, most of those Counties penalties were very soft penalties.
-
@Canes4life They Wellington props are gertting paid a mans wages to do a mans job but frankly should only be getting paid apprentice wages until they can man up in the scrums. You might be quite happy to accept getting a workover in scrums in return for a devastating ball carry or three but I gues I am old school where props did the hard work in the dark spaces and consider a props scrummaging ability to be paramount. Nothing worse in a game of rugby than to watch your scrum under pressure all game, it just gives the other team heaps of momentum and confidence.
