Blyde will be starting for the BF7s.

Can someone please explain how Blyde’s high tackle in the SF didn’t result in a Penalty Try and YC?

    Shit reffing all tournament.
TBH I’m not convinced it was even high but concede that by the sevens standard it was.
There is no high tackle law. It is dangerous tackle. Riding someone down with an over shoulder wrap isn’t dangerous by any stretch.

Understand that, but if the infringement hadn’t occurred the Fijian would have scored.

    Ergo Penalty Try and YC

Pressure from Fiji is generally good - particularly the blonde tips winger on Joyce.

GBR go in a minute after halftime when Fiji's over eager scrum lets them down again.

    14-5

Not counting them out but GBR need a load more ball

Breakdown penalties are a lottery with this ref.

Fiji sort their discipline out and they'll win either side of the ball

GB look like they've never played rugby before.

What happened to the Aussie girls this tourney? When they beat our girls 4 years they were something else, just levels above in terms of speed and ability to attack space

@bovidae I've found 7s breakdown penalties more confusing than 15s...

@voodoo we failed to evolve. Didn't bring enough power players, and our playmakers were below par, particularly Caslick.

GB's leadership and tactical decision making has been beyond awful.

Sevens players are a lottery with supporting their own bodyweight at rucks. Looks more obvious with less players to me.

Better players but less of a team could be the problem for GB.
