If that's the case, Crotty becomes even more important...
Guess we might see a bit more of ALB/Goodhue in pool play though.
-
@taniwharugby Laumape probably starting at 12 in pool games against minnows.
-
Hope this is true, Ngani deserved his seat on the plane in the first place IMO.
-
@Stargazer I reckon they try ALB/JG again, this strikes me as a better mid field than NL/ALB or NL/JG and given Crottys injury history it is a very real possibility we lose him too, so need to bed in another front line option.
-
@taniwharugby why not ALB/JG and then Laumape on the bench for impact.
-
@Canes4life you "hope" a member of the All Blacks is injured???
-
@Canes4life I was talking 12/13, not the bench.
-
Foxy was right .
-
If true be interesting to see what sbw does from here , hard to imagine him going back to play in the forwards in nrl now that he is made of glass .

Foxy was right .
About?
After the selection, said in an interview when questioned about laumape , if I was a betting man, I might put money on him playing his part in this wc yet.

I thought he was just being nice. But he was being prophetic. I hope Laumape takes this opportunity and goes all out

@Siam of course I don’t wish injury upon anyone, but for Ngani’s sake I hope he gets the opportunity he deserves after playing the house down all year.
He has played well this year, but Hansen and co. clearly see him as the 5th best midfielder in the country at international level. This suggests to me his game has some shortcomings compared to SBW.

I think it’s the offloading game that sets him apart . Pretty much makes him unique compared to anyone , not just laumape.

@kiwiinmelb @Frank SBW doesn't have the perfect game either. He has lost a yard or two of pace and he has been injury prone for a long time now. Don't forget his tendency to use the shoulder in the tackle that has been costly to the All Blacks in the past.
