I believe so. I avoid FB but might still be able to watch that way as a non-member. Allblacks.com will be plan B.

Spark have the full on broadcast which might be tricky to get outside NZ. Radiosport usually carry it live.

I recon we have 29-30 names right here, the only questions are:
- The last loose forward, is it Squire or Fifita? outside chance for Jacobson
- Is Crotty fit? If not then Laumape is in
- Do they want the versatility of Hemapo over Tuipulotu?

@Bovidae said in RWC squad. Who's in, who's out?:
@Chris-B This team will be a closely guarded secret so I doubt the media will know too much before the live announcement.
Speaking of which, to watch the live broadcast on Wed do you need to be subscribed to Spark Sport or can we see it if you have signed up to the RWC pass only?
If you have the RWC Tournament Pass then you are fine to watch it.
All Blacks FB are only showing the actual names being read out. The full broadcast with interviews, discussion, etc is on Spark Sport.

@DrivingMaul just send Hemopo over Squire, Fifita and Jacobson (although I like him and be ok if he went) and you dont have to choose to leave Pat T at home.

What’s the latest on DMac? Is he a chance?

Wow the ABs have thought of new innovative ways to get a player to Japan on “official business” 😀
So Ioane will be definitely going. Meteoric rise for the young fella.

I have no problem with Squire's availability but the hype has never matched the output with him. I have no doubt he will be picked as he is a Hansen favourite but his game does not warrant it.
I can’t recall much hype about him prior to his selection. Sure he was noticeable with the mullet and stuff but I don’t remember too many talking up his game other than a few over excited commentators who seem to get excited about all sorts of players.
I think once he got selected there was hype around that and AB fans began to question why. I think the fact that he was continually selected pointed to the well known issue of lack of someone putting their hand up and secondly because they invested in him the known was better than the unknown.
-
@KiwiMurph He's great when the opposition is weak. Goes missing when the going gets tough. He's a bit too loose for my liking and not strong enough in the contact to be the world class 6 we need.

Better than Ardie at 6 though? Height and size?

My guess:
Props: Nepo Laulala, Joe Moody, Karl Tu' nukuafi, Angus Ta'avao, Ofa Tu'ungafasi
Hooker: Dane Coles, Liam Coltman, Codie Taylor.
Locks: Scott Barrett, Brodie Retallick, Patrick Tuitupolou, Sam Whitelock
Back Row: Sam Cane, Kieran Read, Ardie Savea, Liam Squire, Matt Todd
Half Backs: TJ Perenera, Aaron Smith, Brad Weber
First Fives: Beauden Barrett, Richie Mo'unga, Josh Ioane
Midfield: Ryan Crotty, Jack Goodhue, Anton Leinert-Brown, Sonny Bill Williams
Back Three: Jordie Barrett, George Bridge, Reiko Ioane, Sevu Reece, -

Yep, was getting a rep as a flat track bully. Monsters the weaker teams but against the big boys had very little impact. Still a massive step up from Fifita though.
-
@No-Quarter Yeah, almost everyone would. I don't think I've ever come across anyone who has come out and said that they are a fan of Vaea Fifita.

I think that is very close to what they will pick.
I'd switch out Franks for Karl or Moli, have Jacobson in for Todd, and I would select J. Ioane instead of one outside - leaving either Reece or Jordie at home. In the midfield, Laumape is very very unlucky, but I think I'd leave hime at home - or drop Crotty.
