This has been coming for some time. We keep being told that we can play rugby without the ball. Kicking it away. The Wallabies showed that keeping the ball in hand is what matters. Some of our tight forwards struggle with their hands. Tonight they lost the contact as well.
Well said
I say some warning signs with NZ Super Rugby sides this year
I saw alot more danger signs when the ABs got away with a win in Buenos Aires Boks then threw a lot at ABs in Cake Tin
1 thing ABs could hang their hat on was good defence:
90% tackle completion in last 2 games & kept opponents to 16 pts eachI still shocked that ABs conceded 47 points in a game!!!!
When the last that fucking happened

Don't understand why the Aucklanders are laying into Mo'unga,he was one of the better ones.
Oh, that's right.
Because .. Blues fans, and BB is now a Blues player.
Or we just want the best ten to play ten. Feel free to circle the cantab wagons, ignore we just conceded 47 points to australia

Akira Ioane should not even be in the conversation...he is so far off the pace in terms of attitude and fitness ,it’s not funny...
Are people deluded ...?,
The reality is the red card played its part..we needed to be at 100% in the 2nd half not just to stay in the fight but also to salvage any credibility or even do the impossible..I liked the fact that we showed some fight in the 2nd half..but at the end of the day, we made an incredible amount of tackles in the first half which at the end of the day was gonna spike us at the end..
Nick White was outstanding for the Wallabies..his control around the edges was impressive..
Richie Mo’unga also seems to be copping some criticism which is highly unfair, we needed to be playing the territory game in the first ,but Beauden Barrett had plenty of time to kick long, but decided use a short kicking game which backfired big time..Thought Read was outstanding under the circumstances..Coles tackled his heart out and ALB was superb..flush it and move on

Ah, another TSF meltdown. Everyone completely overreacting as usual.
How many points should we have conceded before becoming concerned then...?

If you don’t meltdown after nearly conceding 50 in a Bledisloe game something is wrong with you

A wee reminder your man Rangitoto Beauden also conceded 47 points to Australia.
The best 10 is playing 10.

Superb night to arrive at the hotel bar on the GC at half time to that....was the plan to tire them out and win that way....

Any thoughts on Franks?

We lost to them by 21 in 1999 as well. We all know what happened later that year.
So France had a hand in that Bledisloe match. Shifty French.

Yeah, it was a pretty close game... you won't believe the final score...

After a flat performance like that and with a red card in the first half the obvious thing to do is flush the dunny and move on.
Unfortunately it can't be done. The toilet won't flush, it's clogged up with shit from the past two years and now it's starting to go all over the floor. Bledisloe very much in jeopardy.

Bullshit, if he had played test matches for the last three years like Squire and every other bum that Hansen has favoured then he would be ready for this. Instead we have no 8 and no 6, and Hansen's plan is to pick three opensides in his XXIII. We have nothing in the tank, and have wasted time with guys who will never be test level against big packs.

I'm fucked from playing a whole game of First Grade at LHP today, so I'll keep it brief.
Red Card - definitely on the criteria. Was probably the thing Garces got right the most (because his work with forward passes was shite). But ask yourself the question: would this has been done if it was NOT a RWC year?
Wallabies eked out a win based mostly on a moustache playing at 9, and the fact they refused to give the ABs the ball. The possession stat must be a fucking landslide - felt like it took us about 10 minutes with the pill to get a try, but the ABs needed less than 2 minutes to get to the paint.
Looks like the Wallabies had 58%. Felt like more.
What probably impressed the most was the skill execution of the Wallabies as the game wore on. There was some dire crap in the first half, but some of the tries toward the end were - quite frankly - better than I'd expect of this current crop.
Disruption caused by the early loss of Mullet, and what seemed to be an almost complete absence of Mounga, hurt the flow of the ABs. Along with some fucking monster shots from the men in gold.
It'll all come crashing down next week, but for now, I'll take that.

I thought the defence was a big concern and it was a collective thing , it was everywhere

Oh, that's right.
I'm not.
I was constantly bitching about why they were using Beaudie to clearance kick.
Canterbury statue starting props however....
