Looking forward to neaxt season also when the search for a 6 will be full on - L Jacobson/Big Red/Akira??
Not sure we will see Akira get another chance. The selectors obviously know the potential there and have no doubt given him lots of opportunities to either meet their grade or not. They have had him in camp and on tours to show him the true professional side but he just doesn’t seem to want it enough.
I get that the season demands have probably worked against him but these selectors have always picked attitude over ability. They will give ability a shot but unless the attitude changes its “we’ll call you” -

On subject of 6, it sounds like Squire had good hit out on Weekend with Mako$ vs. Otago.

Based on the little hints that the ABs social media accounts sometimes give, you can expect ALB to get a start. Laumape, Hemopo, Coles and Cane probably, too. Possibly BB back at 10 and BFA back at 15.
I might be reading too much in it, though. In some respects, I hope I do.
Amazing quote: 'so Franks could go up another gear in Perth'. I can only presume they mean second!

"Against the Springboks, Mo'unga twice produced wide passes off his left hand that just aren't in Beauden Barrett's vocabulary."
What complete horseshit.

@Crucial If he wants any chance he will probably have to move away from the Blues
I’m not convinced that he isn’t part of the problem at the Blues rather than someone being hard done by.
The Blues players are coach killers. They struggle to keep to the coaches systems for 80 minutes and given Akiras abilities I would guess that quite a few moves are built around him in a gain and continuity role
He can do it well at times but seems to go missing at others. He’s not the only culprit but it’s also not like he is always following the plan.
Maybe at a franchise where everyone else does follow the script he would have no option... -
So apparently Pocockwomble is a non starter and was never really likely. Won’t be played in Bled2 if the cup isn’t alive either.

How do you fit him and Hooper in the same team? Hasn't been done successfully yet

I suppose he thinks this is funny.
I can feel the anxiety and stress on here already - not about the team itself, but the time, oh man look at the time.

-
@taniwharugby Just filling in time until the team is named, wonder if they'll dump Rodney and finally play Hayman at 8?

The Wallabies are set to unleash James O'Connor on the All Blacks from outside-centre, while Bernard Foley won't wear the No.10 jersey once again, with Christian Lealiifano in line to get his second chance in the playmaker hot seat.

Heard this on the radio. Never saw him as a 13. I presume he's been playing there with Sale?

I think he has been playing mostly 12 at Sale. I did see this mentioned in the aussie press
It’s understood that O’Connor will switch to inside centre, swapping with No.12 Samu Kerevi, when Australia has the ball throughout the game but will defend in the outside channel.

And we obsess here over unsettled combinations!

The logical choice would be Jordan Petaia at 13 (unless he is still in recovery mode).

Not rocket science to guess there might be some traffic heading his way .
