I think it's time to decide whether they think 250 is enough or 280 is required. We could coast to 250 pretty easily from here, but if we want 280 we'll need to take some risks - and might fall in a heap and make 220.

it never inspires confidence in the bat first decision when you see lower order batsmen come in and middle it more than the top order. maybe a bit harsh on these blokes, they're middle order really, but the ball is not moving around so much anymore.

Just keep taking it late for now.

I think 150/3 after 35 would have been OK, but we've lost a wicket too many.

Batting conditions are better than against India, so 250 sounds a bit like plucky losers - but we could ice the cake with some big overs late if we've got firepower in hand.
