Be interesting to know whether Kane says the go slow was deliberate or a reaction to the bowling. If it was deliberate and India do it easy then he should come in for a lot of criticism. Still you got to wait for both teams to bat.

In a few overs, he will need to hit out or get out,

    Interesting comment on Cricinfo...

Denton: "I feel like Taylor and Williamson did not learn anything from the game versus Australia. Digging NZ into a big hole again."

We need bare minimum another 100 runs. Unlike us, India have too many in form batsmen.

Kane’s hand forced given we are getting nothing from Taylor.

    But he didn’t look settled

Kane is our premier batsmen, he should be able to up the ante regardless of what is happening at the other end. We really needed him to put the hammer down given he'd faced 100 odd balls. Gutted he didn't come off, but we've got a fair bit of hitting yet.

I get that NQ, but when your 3 and 4 - our two best bats are in - they should be working as a partnership.

Yeah for sure. It looked like a conscious decision for Kane to start hitting. I do agree that Rosco needs to get a move on now or he's only going to heap pressure on the lower order.

Only NZ could have all their batsman losing more & more form the closer they get to the finals

If we go on a tear and suddenly score at 9s we are doomed any way. Our only hope is that this is a minefield that's getting worse.

This pitch is a dog. The secret is India have bowled consistently and not bowled any pies or half-volleys to break the shackles.

I do not have faith that an attack with Henry and Santner can replicate the Indian's consistency with the ball - but I guess anything is possible.

Sounds like it's a new pitch so was hard to predict how it would play.

If Henry has one of his good games then he'll be a real handful.

Yet all the experts pre-game had looked at it and were predicting a belter.

We are going to have to bowl like demons. No wides, no full toss pies, no leg side crap. And field like hangry tigers, pouncing on everything.

So disappointed with this batting effort.

    We are meekly bowing out.

Actually we've been meekly bowing out for more than a week

Today's pitch or the one from the 1999 semi-final? I feel like they've spent more time on that one.
