Blues 2020

Even the Blues’ other most significant signing for 2020, Beauden Barrett, had never won a Super Rugby game in the Waikato, with his old side the Hurricanes also breaking their duck earlier this season and recording a first win in Hamilton since 2007.
The one man in the Blues who had tasted victory against the Chiefs in the Waikato, however, is new recruit Carter, and he wasted no time motivating his new club ahead of their win, according to wing Caleb Clarke.

If England didn't know about this before, they sure will now. Thanks NZ Herald.
Fozzie better cap him this year.

Christ I can't even imagine how everyone on here would react if he went to England.
They still have those players outside the caps, a team could chuck a fortune at him, if they wanted. In NZ he would be getting SFA, really it is the lure of the black jersey vs $$$

"When the decision comes it will come easy but for the moment I'm just focusing on the Blues.
Youd think he has his mind made up already, and TBH the timing couldn't be better with Read retiring, he is a ready made fit to get the call up whenever international rugby returns...

@taniwharugby I certainly hope so!

Blues have already sold 10,000 tickets for the Chiefs match. That's almost a month away - July 26th
I see they are also running the same promo as the Canes game - free child with a GA ticket. It's a Sunday game too. Local derby. Should be another big crowd.

We're setting the standard. 42k and then nearly 30k for a wet Saturday night. Shows that Aucklander's aren't apathetic after all - give us a bandwagon to jump on and we're on like kong.
It's awesome, I'm super stoked for the franchise.

From the article on the All Blacks website about BB going to Japan:
“Our focus is fully on the current campaign but we have plans for next year without Beaudy. He will be a big loss but that is countered with what he is doing on and off the field this year, and that we get him for two more years.
“We have Otere Black playing terrific rugby, and Harry Plummer who has been coming off the bench, while we will have Stephen Perofeta back next season from injury.”
I thought he'd be available later in the SRA season, but this seems to suggest he's out for the entire season. Or am I reading too much into this?

He's out for the SRA season. Was replaced by Dan Carter.
