No champion this season!!!
Only until 4 April. Plenty of time to be made up down the track. Domestic leagues to complete at a later date but the Euros to be jettisoned

The league won't be able to restart until June at the earliest IMO.

Assuming the league got cancelled. Would they award the premiership to the leading team, or would there forever be a big fat asterisk next to the 2019/20 season?
The sporting purist in me says award the premiership to Liverpool, but I can definitely relate a "to nah fuck 'em" point of view

It's 2 wins. 2 from the final 9. Assuming City can win all 10 of theirs.

Story this morning is that the plan is if the season gets cancelled, Liverpool would be crowned Champions 2019-2020, no relegation, top two Championship sides to come up, no playoffs. League of 22 next season which will start earlier, 5 teams to go down in May 2021.

@sparky I'd take that (Aston Villa supporter).

This should go in the Conspiracy Theory thread. You're all just jealous coz you never had a statue of Wacko!!

How do you allocate CL and EL places for next season if teams haven't played the same number of games? In theory, Sheffield United would be 5th if they win their game in hand, which could result in a CL spot.
Pretty much the same problem being faced by all the major European leagues. Would seem like you can't possibly make any decisions until you know when games can be resumed.
Further to @dogmeat and his comment on Fulham, the mighty Notts County have just gone on a winning streak to reach 3rd in the National League - and the league was suspended today ...

Has a decision been made if there is no more play? Is it as it stands? What about relegation?
