@Bones Was it the player though? Or some fish head?
Players.

@Paekakboyz That is my point. At some stage you reach saturation level, and I think it would have been a good way to re-focus and re-channel emotions and efforts into a positive statement.

Yeah I'm firmly of the opinion that changing our way of life means the terrorists have won, but fuck surely 48 hours of shellshock (for want of a better term) needs to be taken into account, not least for the huge number of people for whom life has literally ground to a halt. There is no-one in this city who doesn't know someone personally devastated by loss.
I was disappointed initially, but on reflection this game was the very next day.

Yep, part of my initial response was wanting life to get back to normal as fast as possible. The enormity of the atrocity is difficult to process.
No problem with the players decision at all.
I don’t want that guy to affect NZ in any other way but showing that sort of hate and intolerance is not accepted here.

Shame the game couldn't have been pushed back to Monday or Tuesday evening.
Nah. Do you reckon they'd be feeling any better?

And never mind the effect it would have on both sides' next matches with a short turnaround.

Manchester United played and won the Europa League Final two years ago 48 hours after the Manchester bombing, although they cancelled all their pre-game press conferences.
Not practical in this case to play a delayed game I know because of fixture congestion, but it is a shame that the Crusaders winning streak ended because of events beyond their control and we were all denied a great fixture.

In the UK and working in London we live with the feeling that ther could be these kinds of attacks
at the back of your mind of every day. So much so, it has become the norm which is a sad indictment on life in a big city.
What we cannot do is allow these people to think they have won. So, we carry on. -
