You could mount an argument that other QBs in Lamar's draft class would have far better results if their respective teams took the same approach as the Ravens.
You could say that's similar to what the Bills are doing with Allen - he had massive hype about his arm strength, massive red flags around his accuracy, so the Bills have mostly tried to avoid that.
Darnold this year has been a great example of not doing that though - Gase's playcalling does nothing to make Darnold's job easier (which would be making better use of his ability to throw on the move, and having two of the best route-running RBs in the league to help tip off coverages and create mismatches).
All that said, I'm still not sold on Jackson. There are enough guys in recent memory who looked like they were going to be great running QBs (RG3 and Tebow spring to mind immediately) after putting together one great season only for everything to fall apart.
It will be super interesting to see how things go into the playoffs and then next season when teams have had a whole season worth of tape to review.

Feels like a huge missed opportunity for the 49ers and honestly as crazy as it sounds I think the 49ers season could fall apart. They lost 4-5 more players to injury and Seattle will now back themselves to win the division.

Yeah they have a brutal stretch. Only 2 of their remaining games are against teams with losing records, and one of those is against a division rival in the Cards and the other are the Falcons who are dangerous even if they're not getting it done.

@Cyclops yep. Seahawks meanwhile are suddenly real contenders. They have the best QB in the league this season, they have Clowney playing like the #1 overall pick he was and theyve picked up Josh Gordon. Of course Carroll is a class coach as well.
People talk about the conferences in Super Rugby lacking balance - the divisions in NFL are just as bad.
The NFC West is incredibly strong meanwhile some of other divisions have multiple awful teams (NFC East, AFC East etc).

Yeah the draws can be so unequal sometimes it's crazy. (Pats get the rest of AFC east twice and NFC east, and the Bengals). There's almost always one team that's 10-6 or 9-7 that misses out. But they don't seem to care as much. Maybe because it's always been like that?

He broke Trevor Siemian's ankle with a late hit earlier this season too. The NFL doesn't generally do long suspensions (Did Burfict ever get more than 2 games for any of his shit?) for on field conduct. That's pretty disgraceful though - be amongst the worst incidents I've seen.

Garett gone for the season and will need to meet with the commissioner prior to being able to return in 2020. Given his comments since, I imagine he'll show the appropriate amount of contrition and get reinstated.
Will be very interesting to see what happens next season. Presumably he'll be on a short leash and the stuff that was just a fine early this season will be a suspension.
Pouncey (the Steelers player who kicked Garrett) gets three games. That seems reasonable given every thing else.
I think the NFL has done a good job of responding to this one.

It's still looking very much like the Niners, Seahawks, and the Packers are all competing to see who plays New England in the SB

Certainly feels like whenever a team starts to get a little momentum they get upset. The Jets now get the Bengals followed by the Dolphins. That potentially gets them to 6-7 coming into their toughest remaining game vs the Ravens.
Just quietly, this Jets defence might be coming right. They've consistently been one of the best run defences in the league and Arthur Maulet (bounced around teams for the last few years without ever getting snaps) and Bless Austin (6th round pick) are showing like they might be good enough to start in the NFL. It's not impossible they win out down the stretch. 9 and 7 probably wouldn't be enough for a playoff spot though, so they'll be left ruing a loss to the Dolphins and the one point loss to the Bills that included about three missed kicks.
