Hey look, the Jets won a game! Amazing what a difference having your starting quarterback available makes.
so now the Cowboys are losing to shit teams and good teams.
Broncos on a hot streak!! Our game plan is to turn it in to a dour defensive slug fest, and bore the opposition to death.
I watched the first half of the Niners v the Rams, and it was the best 7-7 half i think i have ever seen. SF are legit.

After the first drive by each team I thought the 49ers were toast but they really showed their mettle grinding out this win. The 49er defense looks legitimately elite. 49ers offense doing enough in this game whilst being undermanned. Awesome.
the goal line stand was a turning point

They have the Redskins on the weekend so I would fancy their chances to get to 7-1

Or 6-0 as it were.

Caught some of the Packers Lions yesterday.
Stink arse refereeing calls cost the Lions big time. 4 and 21 turned into a first down on a bollocks facemask call. Can understand why people are blowing up on it.
That, and seeing receivers get mugged without DPI makes me shake my head at times.
Clearly, refereeing controversies are everywhere

Rams making moves.
They traded away corner Marcus Peters to the Ravens.
They have now traded for cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jags for two first-round draft picks (2020 and 2021) and a fourth-round pick in 2021.
Mortgaging the future. Hope Jared Goff is legit. I don't hate the move, but if the Rams can't turn it around and miss the playoffs they'll regret it big time.

Mahomes has dislocated his kneecap. KC are trying to get a second opinion but most reports seem to think that he'll be out for around 4 weeks.
Matt Moore was his replacement and he looked bad. Is a week of first team reps going to make him startable? Maybe. But KC will probably have a nibble around free agency. Will be very interesting to see how their offence runs without him.

The only other undefeated team left the 49ers also pick up a WR via trade - Emmanuel Sanders from the Broncos for a 3rd and a 4th round pick (whilst getting a 5th round pick back).
Feels like a win win for both teams. Broncos need to rebuild and 49ers need help at WR.

Veteran player with great hands, good size and solid attitude - Pittsburgh wouldn't pay him his non-rookie contract demand but his attitude and work ethic were never in question - not Elite but still a decent threat as a wideout and runs great routes.

@canefan Seriously impressive by the 49ers.
They just absolutely blew out a serious playoff contender.
New WR Sanders fit in nicely and the 49ers managed to get their running game cranking by smartly avoiding the stout middle defence of the Panthers. Of course the 49ers defence continues to be amazing also.

Panthers had a 500 record and were three games behind the Saints. This isn't the same Panthers of a couple of years ago.
49ers do look great though. NFC playoffs should be dynamite. Not so sure about AFC though. Pats defense is all time and likely to close down anyone else that gets in their way.
