4 down in an impossible position to bat out 2 days, but playing on a road with two set batsmen who didn't look greatly challenged ...
...a bit too much like first test v Lankans ...
Don't expect that to happen again though. (Fingers crossed.)
Not the same quality of batting for this Bangladeshi side.

Can't find coverage on Fox today. Instead we get to watch the chicks play cricket in slow motion.

Bangladesh making it look easy this morning. Might be time for Kane to have a bowl.
If they had Shakib and Mushfiqur, they could probably draw a test. It's a very flat pitch and I expect the Basin to be the same.
Bangladesh need to bowl first. Our pitches are very flat by day 2 and they don't really turn much on day 5.

Thank you Todd, we'll call you if we need minimal legspin, no ability to tie down an end and a longer follow through than Boulty. You can keep the shirts and merch
A black caps spinner being a bit shit?
There's a surprise.

Come on. You could have watched darts. Live.
Fuck you Fox.

We shouldn't really expect a leggie to tie down an end. Probably a better pitch for Santner or Somerville. Somerville should probably come in for the Basin.

@hydro11 who's expecting him to tie down an end?
It's not unreasonable to expect him to at least trouble a batsman, perhaps bowl something from a different angle, perhaps get one above the eyes, perhaps do something useful in a search to get wickets?
His toothless one dimensional bowling has nothing to do with the pitch

Mehidy was dreadful and he is an international quality spinner though.

New ball doing the job our spinners couldn't fortunately.
Bangladesh are a better team than the first innings made them look, but probably not quite as good as the second innings so overall an average performance from our bowling attack. Need to roll the tail to get back ahead.

Williamson the first NZ batsman to 20 test centuries. To go with Taylor being the first to 20 ODI centuries earlier this summer. A few batting milestones being ticked off, and good to get a couple of names further up the all-time lists.
Williamson isn't yet 29. He could play another 8 years at the top and double his test tally and stats if he stays injury-free. They'd be phenomenal stats.

NZ pitches being so bloody flat these days doesn't really help with the interest levels, especially against Bangladesh. Watching them score 400+ while losing comprehensively isn't exactly riveting cricket
Still, Boult and Wags in the wickets. Raval gets the 100 monkey off his back. Kane and Tom continue to build on their impressive records. Not much to complain about there.
