Us one on one...refs strip penalty.
Eels. Three on one. No strip play on eels ball.
No penalty since the tenth minute for us.
-
How can the refs call forward pass from where they were
-
Games off the top of my head there's been horrible calls or multiple include vs south's early in the season. Broncos second game with shot clock disappearing. Titans game knight's game and this one.
Agree I'm used to us being shit and stealing a loss but kills me when they actually put out a decent effort and get rimmed.
-
Just watched their 1st try of the second half. We knocked it back but it hit their players hand on the way through. That was after the non strip.
How is that different from them knocking the ball on into Adam Blair when Roger had the ball running to the try line to be called back.
No consistency in the big moments.
-
@taniwharugby watching the Warriors is like watching Northland. But both teams are getting better. 😀
League has to work on their refs or rules because so many big moments are now just incorrect. Embarrassing.

I apologise for the swearing. Given the ferns new guidelines etc. mods please feel free to censor......
The Warriors are, after 25 years, a novelty to the Australian rugby league public. We are still an expansion team earning our right to be here. It doesn’t matter that the warriors probably have the largest fan base in the competition. That we are in the top selling jerseys year in year out. We are just a team of islanders, Maori and Aussie cast offs. Tonight Braith Anasta referred to RTS as his dark horse to win the Daly M. He’s the fucken incumbent! How can he be a fucken dark horse!
But what NZers don’t realise, who don’t live here and know how the warriors are perceived on the ground here in Bogantasia, is that no one wants to know why we get so many bad calls against us. No one cares about [Toovey voice] an inquiry. It’s just how shit is. We are an unwanted club. The commentators struggle to veil their dislike of the warriors. Saying something encouraging or complementary usually comes across as a knee jerk or shock comment. Like “fuck me dazed they actually completed a set”.
This is never going to change....Unless...We win the fucken thing, the whole thing. We can dominate a game and the post match is always going to one of amazement. When we string a few performances together there’s always an expectation that we will fall over eventually. The problem is that we do just that, we meet their expectation. We need to exceed their expectation. We need to win the Comp. It’s the only way the respect will ever come. The only way the refs will give us the rub is if we are seen as a team to respect by the Australian public. The only way that happens is if we become a must watch team. The only real way that happens is if we are the best team going.
It’s fucked and clearly not fair. But this is Australia and we are just a bunch of riffraff in their eyes.

There was a full on Parra fan next to us who, one of those shouty fans everyone knows from live games ... but, when he saw the replay of the three on one strip even he thought we were got robbed.
League is retarded. One Warriors live match and they make me want to give up watching the sport altogether because no matter how tutae the Warriors are the inept and incompetent officials and fishheads are worse. Actually that's probably too harsh - the same.
What was weird though was all the Islanders who were supporting Parra.

I concur.

on TAB FB page:
After the Warriors were robbed by the refs, we've refunded all head to head bets on them to the tune of $44,000!
-
That is very savvy marketing. Loving the dress as a ref call too!
-
This should make an appearance on the big screen at Mt Smart next week:
-
@Sneakdefreak "back, ahh...in the first half" polynesian gold 😁
-
There we go. Aussie calls it a “bizarre” response. Tongue in cheek yeah bizarre no. But because it’s NZ and we should never complain as we’re just lucky to be here it’s some left field stupidity.
-
@raznomore I like Stephen Kearney’s comment that if they can’t ref the strip properly they should change the rules back. 2 incorrect calls in 2nd half.
However no one is talking about these two incidents:
- Para’s first try after half time. Our guy knocks it back in tackle but hits hand of Para player on way through. Ruled play on.
- Para player loses ball into Blair in tackle. Roger running for try but pulled back. Ruled a double knock on.
They both can’t be correct. You have to be consistent.
The last one with Rogers pass I can almost understand. Close.
But the ones above had already made the difference.
