Fair play Sri Lanka, surviving a whole day without a single wicket under pressure is some feat. Draw well and truly deserved.
I think the Basin pitches are getting a bit flat. When teams bowl first because they know the day 4/5 pitch is going to be an absolute road I don't think they are getting it quite right.

Yeah was wondering that myself even late in our innings.
Tough to get the balance though because our pitches generally improve over time so we'd be risking a total green top that would make winning the toss even more decisive.

Good call, although it's a tough balance when overhead conditions play so much of a part in Wellington. With even a little bit of spice in the pitch and two overcast mornings you almost guarantee a three day test.
Yesterday does show the weakness in our bowling attack and it's one England have struggled with in the past too. Without half-decent overhead conditions if the opposition can hold their nerve against Wagner we don't really have a way of "forcing" a wicket. An out and out quick would really add a dimension to our attack even if they are somewhat inaccurate and can only bowl two five over spells in the day.

I assume Adam Milne is either crocked or out of favour? He hasn't really shown any X-factor yet, but it is nice to have a guy with top end pace

The chance of Adam Milne playing a test is very slim. I would say Lockie Ferguson has a much better chance. However, it seems getting into the test team at the moment is particularly challenging as we have a good trio the selectors dont want to drop.

Ferg's only chance at the moment is if we play 4 seamers which is pretty unlikely.

Didn't Milne injure himself into becoming a specialist white ball bowler?
Was awesome at CWC 2015. Just not kicked on I think due to injury.

Well here is an awful interview to watch.
I enjoyed the question about which batsman from the past he would most like to bat with. He briefly forgets it's an interview for an Indian audience and let's Ponting slip, before quickly correcting himself with Sachin Tendulkar.

He did manage to say Sachin was his favourite Cricketer earlier, which will have made all happy. The one word answer was good...

He did controversially not include Sachin in the discussion for best beard though which will have no doubt unleashed 50,000 angry tweets his way.

Apparently Henry tore the house down in county cricket. 70 odd wickets at 12 or something.
Need Gollum to jeets him.
Be nice to see him bowling well consistently
I miss gollum. Mods, is he banned for life?
