Wilder just showing how he’s not much of a boxer. Starting to come forward a bit more now though
Yeah, is his heroic showing in the Fury trilogy showing up the state of the division for what it is ?
Is Fury really just the best of a pretty ordinary bunch compared to other eras ?
I think so.

Fury struggled against Ngannou. Wilder is doing likewise here. Perhaps Barry was right when he said the trilogy woulda taken loads out of them.

Fantastic joe , well done to him and his team,
Wilder always been a one trick pony but it was a dangerous trick

Outstanding. Looking forward to catching the highlights. Parker has well and truly proved me wrong. I thought his career was over after his loss to Joyce.
I reckoned Wilder would knock him out reasonably early on to be honest. Obviously the ring rust played a factor but still, massive result for JP. Hats off.

I got a tip off from my nephew who is a young and upcoming pro boxer that joe had been crushing his sparring partners and seems to have found a new level of confidence in his power
There are those on the inside who saw this coming with wilders age and inactivity

Definitely a factor but I’m still shocked. I thought that one punch would still be more than enough.

@kiwiinmelb people on the outside saw it too. Parker by decision was $13. Easy money

Not sure it landed clean once , full credit to his team for coming up with the fight plan

Does joe replace wilder in a showdown with Joshua now ?

Good point. But is there any incentive in promoting a guy who he has beaten already ?

No. AJ will fight the Croatian.
Depends , there was talk before today that as a mandatory he gets the winner of fury v usyk
unless they squeeze aj in there now and the winner gets that fight

Main change I noticed from the Parker of old was the speed. Lightning fast, made Wilder look pretty ponderous at times. Seems to be a lot fitter and sure of himself, but the speed, both in the hands and the footwork, allowed him to attack without much risk, and get out of the way rapidly when needed.

Long time ago now ,
end of the day I suppose it will come down to interest and where the saudis want to invest their money

He controlled centre ring and had wilder backing up for most of the fight , wilder has never looked good going backwards, that’s the part that impressed me most .
. Got some pretty handy mates for advice on how to trouble wilder.
