Yeah Fury looks dialled in and in impressive shape. I’m with Lennox Lewis, going for Fury because of his size advantage, though my heart says Usyk.
Didn’t know Usyk boxed at middleweight as an amateur at European level as a 19/20 yo!

Usyk if the scores aren't rigged. Fury won't be able to keep up with Usyk's speed out of the pocket and if Otto Wallin can give Fury fits fighting southpaw, good luck keeping up with Usyk.

Fury’s lack of genuine power might be a factor in him not being able to put Usyk away.

I follow it pretty closely, and I can’t clearly predict it .
The thing is both fighters are fighting someone very different to what they have faced previously so there is that uncertainty on how they handle it .
Tyson has shown previously he doesn’t like southpaws too much and usyk is clearly superior to those guys that he has faced. Especially with his footwork and angles he uses to come at you , and his motor is exceptional, on fight statistics he throws twice the volume of punches than Tyson , and the last quarter of the fight he goes into overdrive.
But then Tyson has such a long reach, and a great jab, and is also an underated in close fighter , particularly his clinching and grappling where he loves to lean that big heavy frame on you to tire you out . Good chance Tyson could attempt to turn this into a dirty scrap , whatever he does, to win he has to take away usyk s rhythm, but if he isn’t able to , a usyk points win is probably likely .

@MN5 Yeah I agree, and Fury has come in slightly lighter whilst Usyk has come in a lot heavier, so Usyk is obviously preparing for Fury to try and smother him for 12 rounds, but I think Usyk's ring IQ won't allow for him to get caught up in the clinch and pushed back onto the ropes.
Obviously happy to be proven wrong, but I don't see how Usyk loses this match fairly. I think his speed in and out of the pocket, being a southpaw (we saw how bad Fury looked against Wallin the last time he faced one), and his quick change of angles gives Fury fits.
Fury's only way to victory for me is for him to smother Usyk out wrestling style and tire him out that way.

Lots of talk about Usyk here and quite rightly but let’s not forget what Fury brings. Freakish size ( although I’m not sure he’s quite 6’9’’ but I digress ), huge reach, uncanny awkward skills and genuine toughness ( him getting up after being dropped all those times by Wilder was very impressive )
….but back to Wilder, that trilogy took a shitload out of both of them and I’m not convinced Fury is quite the same fighter. That may swing things in Usyks favour.
So yeah I’ve pretty much posted exactly the same as I did earlier, too hard to call !

@African-Monkey the thing with fury , there is clearly a big difference in quality of performance in his best and worst efforts when looking at his career, those close to him say he performs best when he is super motivated, so hopefully we get the best Tyson . I suspect the delays work to his advantage, knowing his next opponent is a southpaw for such a long time , it’s given a long time to get that right, sparring nobody else except lefties .
Usyk on the other hand is super consistent , you know what you are going to get , I get why people are making him favourite, but Tyson for me is the wildcard , and I’m not closing the door and what surprises he might bring .
The opetaia Briedis fight should be a beauty and will probably outdo the main event for action. -
@kiwiinmelb Yup all fair points too. Not fussed either way as to who wins, as long as the right man wins.
The first Briedis v Opetaia fight was a beaut. Opetaia got up, but his jaw was in pieces afterwards. Will be interesting to see if Briedis has anything left as he's been very inactive since.
Sanchez v Kabayel is also another to look out for. The winner will go a long way to a title shot. I think Sanchez wins on points as he's so tight defensively and hard to break down, like a heavyweight version of Dmitry Bivol, but I've written Kabayel off in the past, and the way he chopped Makhmudov down to the body was impressive.

@Bovidae Yup, 4th round stoppage win. Unsure about how far he'll go, the Cruiserweight division is very weak, so he'll go close to titles because of it. He's very sus defensively and doesn't fight to his strengths. He could have been in more trouble if his opponent had a bit more pop.
Currently, he looks like he's still stuck with some of his amateur boxing habits.
