@MiketheSnow hahaha. it's sad how the common man does not see skills unless someone is world elite. I see it on here with rugby players all the time.
Tommy fury out boxes 99.999% of the world population.
Was it one of the Klitschkos who said everyone is an expert on boxing but no one boxes yet no one is an expert on chess but everyone plays ?
I hit the heavy bag ( which I love ) and have done a bit of light sparring. The dedication to be a top fighter is extraordinary and something the average joe would have no idea about. Even doing this has made me fitter and more conditioned at 45 than I ever was in my 20s and 30s.
Top fighters to me are THE ultimate all round athletes if you take every factor into it ( skill, toughness, strength, power, speed, heart etc )
It is human nature to have a go though, I’m fairly sure George Bridge would runs rings around any ferner who marked him in a game of touch for example despite all the criticism.
Just on the boxing/fitness thing. When I took up veterans rugby in oz I found that using a heavy bag and gloves at home really help 'toughen' the old body for impacts. I guess it was that rebounding 'jarring'.

Yeah although I wonder about the wisdom of doing it too much. Sometimes the shoulders/elbows ache after a session….and not in a good way.

Who watched Joe Joyce vs Zhilei Zhang? It sounds like he (Joyce) got beaten up.
Didn’t see it but yeah, good call. His eye was fucked. Right decision made.
Joyce looked invincible against Parker but seems to have been brought down to earth a bit. I have a feeling he might get him in a rematch though.

Good fight
Zhang deserved winner -
Yeah I watched it live , Joyce is so destructive with his offence it’s easy to dismiss his defensive flaws .
He walks forward very square on with next to no lateral movement and just kept wearing zhangs left hand flush in the same spot . A 20 stone southpaw was probably the wrong fighter to fight in hindsight.
The interesting part zhang was potentially 2 rounds away from gassing out but Joyce’s eye was so fucked they had to stop it . Right choice .

Massive fight this week , tank Davies v ryan Garcia
Will have a massive ppv audience
-
Rumours keep circulating and not being dismissed from the promoters which suggests the Talks are real ,
Saudis are looking at putting on a huge heavyweight event in their brand new stadium in December , with fury v usyk and wilder v Joshua on the same night .

Awesome !
Will believe it when I see it though.
Fury in five.
Wilder in two.

Tank too good ,
For a fighter with one punch knockout power , he shows so much composure , patience and awareness

his KO rate is insane, and only about 61kgs, 5 and a half feet..

Celebrity boxing.. but here is the entire 10 seconds of Sam Tuitupou v Roy Asotasi
Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that ST is handy with the dukes. On the field I remember him having a swing at big lock Ben Kay and even bigger lock Johan Ackerman.
Some really nice power and lovely combo there to make light work of Asotasi.

Maybe 10 seconds but he was only standing for 6. That is an awesome amount of power considering he isn't fully using his weight and reach for most of those punches.

probably the most anticipated fight in the world of boxing( certainly in america ) looks like its finally happening,
Spence v Crawford july 29 , two undefeated greats , a true 50 50
