@sparky I’ll be more than bloody surprised if Josh Ioane starts.
I thought playing Lima Sopoaga in 2015 at Ellis Park was a stroke of genius.
Be very interesting to see how Josh Ioane goes in the cauldron of Estadio José Amalfitani. Even if Plan A isn't for him to go to the RWC, the All Blacks will need him battle-ready in case there is an injury to Beauden Barrett or Richie Mo'unga.

so when is the team named...seriously, the squad to go to Jaguarestina, cos we know the actual team to play the Jaguarestina will be named sometime Thursday...have to assume they be gettign on the plane later today, if not already?

@taniwharugby the game isn't for 2 weeks.

Sparky's All Blacks 23 for Test Vs Argentina in Buenos Aries on 20th July
1 Karl T, 2 Coles, 3 Ofa T, 4 Retallick, 5 Patrick T, 6 Frizzell, 7 Cane, 8 Ardie Savea, 9 Aaron Smith, 10 Josh Ioane, 11 Reiko Ioane, 12 Laumape, 13 ALB, 14 Jordie B, 15 Ben Smith (c),
16 Moli, 17 Coltman, 18 Owen Franks, 19 Hemopo, 20 Papali'i 21 TJP 22 B. Barrett 23 EnnorIt would be surprising if Karl T starts this game for he hasn't played for many weeks. Moli will wear the Nr.1 jersey IMO, with Moody on the bench.
With Ofa T, Laulala and Ta'avao in the squad, I don't see why they would force Franks to make the long trip to Argentina. -
Yeah he played pretty well. Sure helped the Taka scrum which smashed Massey every time. Won a lot of penalties from it. Be got through 80mins tho which was pretty impressive. I expected to see him trotting off at half time or shortly after but they kept him on the whole game.

Yes
It would be a glorified friendly - trial game for RWC
Including you I’ve only ever encountered two people who considered test matches friendlies. One of them is a loser who lives in Turkey because he can’t return to NZ after stalking a woman for over 20 years . If I was you I’d rethink your stance on friendlies unless you want to get confused with that pathetic clown .

With all due respect I'm not going to reconsder my position based on a unknown guy I've never heard of or met
Los Pumas can't go all out in Summer "Test" matches vs European sides as well as EOYT as well as TRC with their current playing stock
They don't have the cattle
Hence for the Pumas the TRC is the 1st priority
The Summer Tests matches & EOYT mean little in comparison and are more about development and performance
In a RWC year TRC means fuck all as well & serve as warm up games and preparation for the RWC later on in the year
