AB got reemed in that half, fortunate to be only three points down. Big half time for Mr Hansen. How does he get his players to turn this around?
My suspicion (hope) is that this is exactly where Fatguts expected to be and he’s bet the house on the subs cracking this one open. Big call when the home crowd are going to give the Irish an extra leg up in the final 20.

Reminds me of the Crusaders shutting down the hurricanes at the moment. Barrett unable to unlock the rush defense
Doesn't run on to the ball when under pressure, does not have a 'step' (he uses his pace to create the gaps) and is not a natural decision maker when it comes to passing. A rush defence is proving to be the way to shut him down.

@paekakboyz We haven't looked like breaking their line at all. Our attack looks very predictable and our defence is passive as per usual. They look a lot more organised and have a heap of backline moves. They look better coached to be honest.
I’m starting to think BB at 10 has a real problem reading the field when he’s got the defence in his face. Looking for a weakness in the air that isn’t there in Ireland’s back 3 isn’t working.
Who doesn't? They are rushing up not letting us play at the moment. Our big chances to score tries we have made basic errors and let them off the hook. Both Whitelock and BBBR have given away stupid penalties. It's the pressure
Which makes the drop goal option real valuable. Glad to see it added to Barrett's armoury

@jc Bring Richie on and move BB to fullback? DMac is looking suspect under the high ball too so might not be a bad move to make the sub at half time.
Richie is maybe better suited to their defence because of his ability to take the ball to line and then pass , could put our runners in behind them rushing up

@kiwiinmelb and he has the ability to step them if they come up too fast.

Mo’unga seems to have more composure there, maybe because it looks like he’s happier taking the contact.

Surprised at the criticism of of Beauden, he has been much better this game. Expecting him to unlock the best rush defensive system in the world in the first 40 is asking an awful lot.

I’m not criticising him, I’m just thinking in this type of game his vision would be better used at FB

When ireland fuck up there is no mention of composure from these Irish commentators
-
@no-quarter it's not just this game though

Goodhue makes some finger tip tackles
