To be fair Hansen phased out and shook loose Aussie McLean relatively quickly. I wouldn't put it past him to flush McLeod and beg Smith (or someone else) for half a year more if he is genuinely not up to speed.
Isn't McLean still with the ABs - well he was in 2016 when he didn't apply for Crusaders? So booted from direct defence coach but to something other I think in the ABs.
He is (or was as of last year) essentially an advance scout - watches other teams and provides reports to the selectors and coach. Doesn't select, don't believe he has any contact with the players etc.
So still drawing a pay cheque, but coach probably isn't the right title.

Awesome try!

Thought that was a slightly harsh call on Hemopo earlier, Japan player was isolated.

All Blacks, defending as usefully as the Maginot Line since 2017.
Solid up the middle but terrible on the flank.

@machpants I'm confused about a few penalties...I think hemopo got one before for not rolling away but he was out to the side away from the ball

The 9,10,12 axis has been very impressive for NZ.

Haven't noticed myself, but maybe you're right.
