@taniwharugby as I said in the Canes match thread vs the Brumbies, I wish him all the best overseas but I feel like him moaning to the media won't do him any good if he doesn't prosper overseas and wants to come back like his mate Julian.
With Ngani leaving it will be a good chance for the Canes to change up their pattern of thinking when it comes to attack. We've always had big, ball running 12s so hopefully they move away from that and bring more skill into that position. I wouldn't mind Jordie making a shift to 12.

@taniwharugby I'm sure Laumape was just asked a direct question by Geenty and answered honestly so I am not going to criticise him for that. Unless he has done the same on SM?
I'm curious to know the size of the paycut though. Big difference between $10K and $100K, for example.

@mofitzy_ Do you have an official source confirming that signing? I can't find it on Castres' website or social media. All I've been able to find is one single article that says that - according to Canal Plus - the club is in negotiation with TBN, not that they've already signed him.
-
TBA for TBN?

Blues standout Gerard Cowley-Tuioti is heading overseas at the end of this campaign – lock is a position where Moana Pasifika may even have to look at non-Pasifika players – and Stuff understands that Blues midfielder TJ Faiane is also likely to shift to the Top League in Japan.
Faiane, 25, has been an underrated part of the Blues and Auckland midfield for years and offers leadership qualities, but Japanese clubs remain active in the market for Kiwi talent and Crusaders flanker Tom Sanders is also likely to make the shift to the Top League.

That’s sucks about Faiane I rate him but can’t seem to get game time because Rangi seems to like a 10 at 12.

I wonder how Tei Walden's achilles injury is coming along? He's been coaching high school rugby.
I had heard Mauger was coaching High School but i had assumed it was in Chch or something...he might have found his level, McGlashan beat SBHS this for the first time i can remember.
Jokes aside, he's still young, going back and working his way up might make him a better coach

How good would that be, getting a win over the coach who would never select you.

Who wouldn't? Good on him and have fun.

@mikey07 The Canes didn't sign TBN the past few years, when they could. The Highlanders didn't give him much game time. I forgot what the exact rumours about him were a few years ago (was it low workrate?), that were mentioned as a possible reason for the Canes not signing him. I have no idea, but maybe they are true? I'm not a huge fan of Prinsep, especially if he's blocking Flanders' path, but he's a huge workhorse. I never really understand the criticism he gets on the Fern, apart from that he plays for Canterbury.
