Awesome that it's free, unless the weather is absolutely awful I'm going to bring the family along. Never to early to get the 2 month old boy into rugby, and would be nice for my 5 year old to see Auckland actually win a game live (every Blues game we've attended they've lost).

Weather looks a bit dodge I think

It says showers, like it does most days, the forecast seems to change on a regular basis. Will make a judgement call on the day 🙂

think it is a great marketing ploy, assume ARU got thier Corporate Sponsors on board too, plus others who will want to be in on Finals Action (again, assume most 'packages' wont have included a final?)

More bums on seats, more eye balls looking at sponsor logos.

@no-quarter if both metvuw and metservice say rain, I'd expect it to be wet

Here in Aussie the game is not being shown live as it clashes with the local NRC final.

Is anyone able to PM me with help about how those of us in Aussie can watch it live online? ✌🏾

Free entry a magnanimous gesture but can't help but think they've devalued their product, or, "product" to, well, zero. "It's worthless, just come in." Can see next year punters saying "why should I pay at the gate for this regular game when the big final was free? Why have they decided to charge now for something they deemed as worthless before?"

Or it’s a reward for the fans for a great season you grumpy fuck.

@kiwimurph oh really? That is rubbish, they have pretty much shown all games live all season and in the last few weeks they have been dropping all bar one or two games with replays not screening until mid week.

It will probably have a good impact on vendors at the ground. Didn’t pay for tickets, I’ll spend plenty on food, drinks etc.

The other thing is the fear of people staying home because the ABs test match is on around straight after - so another great marketing ploy to show the test at the ground after the final.

@act-crusader although Justin Marshall on the ground PA commentary is a drawback.

    Very cool statistic

The sides have played a total of 101 times with the honours split straight down the middle at 48 wins apiece and 5 draws.

With a team like that and free home crowd advantage and SGH in the coaches box, it really is Auckland’s to lose
