it did help when his main rival rammed into his team mate in the opening corner.... whoops...

had to pit and was a lap behind. caught right up tho (thanks to a crash etc) so wasn't a done deal.

@williethewaiter luckily the other teams didn't manage to box him in or slow him down for the other contenders. I heard that was a real risk going into that last race. Did have a chuckle about that fender bender at the start 🙂

So do the classic kiwi thing and get on the bandwagon while the going is good and forget about him when it's not?

In other words 23 years of how it's been for the Warriors.

He probably has the highest profile , Jason Wynyard would probably be up there in terms of world titles . From his wiki page

Along with this Jason Wynyard has earned a legendary status within the competitive woodchopping community by winning the Stihl Timbersports Series 14 times. The years in which hes won the title are: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

@canefan They were at the race with him, and on stage.

Good effort from Dixon but (showing my age) to me he will always be the fat 14 year old kid who got rolled in his Nissan Sentra at Pukekohe
