@kiwipie found out?
More outdated. Multiple titles, twin champions league, amongst others.
His character is divisive and itβs fair for many not to like, but his record is pretty damn impressive.
Found out is probably not the way to put it.
His record speaks for itself, he's won everywhere, managing some of the world's great players. I think he's a shit bloke, but fuck he's been an incredible manager.
But something has gone wrong somewhere. The best coaches right now seem to be able to not only buy good players, but improve the ones at the club. Kopp has definitely done it at Liverpool; Pep has definitely done it at City as well. Pochettino and Emery have also done it. What's probably doomed Jose (on top of the results) is the complete lack of development of any player on the United list. He's bought a bunch of players for an insane amount of money, failed to integrate them/get the best out of them, and then in some cases cast them aside pretty early. The players he has inherited have stalled in their development. The absence of a plan, or tangible development would have done for him as much as being in danger of dropping to the bottom half this weekend.

@mariner4life yeah fair call on all fronts.
Iβm a fan of the guy but his last 2 teams have clearly not really played for him - perhaps the ego outgrew itself.
Not a fan of pogba tho. Reminds me of bale in the prestige. Two different blokes.

I'm happy with "Found out" - doesn't diminish what he achieved in the past of course. But if you're the "Special One" you're found out as soon as you stop being special.
But I agree with everything written by yourself and mariner4life.

Pre-Christmas, midwinter madness today in the Premier League.
Lowly Crystal Palace beat Manchester City 3-2 at the Etihad in a major upset. Townsend scores arguably the goal of the season with a 30 yard volley. Liverpool will be the Christmas leader. Is the title going back to Anfield after 29 years?
https://sinceliverpoollastwonatrophy.co.uk/league-title/
Man Utd beat Cardiff 5-1 in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first game. First time they have scored 5 in a league game since Sir Alex Ferguson was their boss. Pogba and Lingard were very fired up. It all suggests Mourinho was a significant problem for them.
-
As my brother pointed out to me, in the last decade only twice has the Christmas leader failed to win the title. Both times that was Liverpool. Despite that I'm getting my hopes up.

Barmy Boxing Day in the Premier League. An out of sorts Man City lose 2-1 at Leicester. The Leicester board gave each of their fans a mince pie before kick off.
Liverpool beat Newcastle 4-0. Tottenham beat Bournemouth 5-0.
City down to Third on 44 points at the half way stage of the League now. Tottenham in Second with 45 points. Liverpool top the league with 51 points. This must be there season surely? It would be quite some choke for the Scousers to lose it from here.

Liverpool are basically a dead set bolted on certainty for the title. Might as well engrave the trophy now!

Liverpool go to an in-form Arsenal, get a draw, and it feels like a loss. Seriously, Liverpool are unbeaten in the league through 11 games, have only conceded 5 times, and yet the gap to City feels like a chasm. 2 points, and a 13 better goal difference. City are turning the league in to a sprint.
There are some seriously crazy odds at the TAB for everyone except City to win the EPL
Liverpool $4.50
Chelsea $18.00 (!)
Spurs $31.00 (!!)
Arsenal $101.00 (!!!)Odds a bit different now:
Liverpool 4/5
Man City 2/1
Spurs 3/1
Chelsea 125/1
Arsenal 250/1
Man United 750/1
Leicester/Everton/ Wolves 2000/1 -

Can't see Liverpool slipping up now. They aren't known for falling over so close to the end. Not like them to tumble right in front of the goal. What's another 20 years...
Btw Norwegian press wanking themselves silly about Solkjaer having "saved" Man U. Maybe should wait until they play someone other than mighty Huddersfield.
-
In terms of the title liverpool have been basically irrelevant for25 years. They've been top for a week.
And yet the "anyone but liverpool" stuff has started.
